Gen Con's a great opportunity to get some advance-release copies of games into player's hands before the general release. That's just what Cryptozoic is doing with Spyfall: Time Travel. They will have limited numbers at the show in Indy this weekend, with regular release coming in September.
The folks over at One Page Rules recently came out with new rulebooks for pretty much all their games. Well, they've got another big update over on their page that's quite full of information of all sorts. It covers a lot of ground. Let's see what all there is.

Of course, since in Abomination: The Heir of Frankenstein Dr. Frankenstein existed, that means that his creature also existed. The last we see of it in the classic tale is it moving around the ice floes, spotted by the captain of the ship that the good Doctor is on. Well, the Creature and the Captain are both making their way into the game, and in this preview, you can see how.
Games Workshop is going a bit retro. They've pulled a trio of old Chaos Sorcerer models out of the vaults and are ready to custom-make some when you want to order them. This might be your last chance for a while to pick them up. So get now while the getting is good.
As usual, Warlord Games isn't good for just one release, or two, every week. They've got a whole bunch, and for a bunch of different games. There's some of the new Bolt Action: Korea line. There's new Konflikt '47 if you want some Weird War II. There's Cruel Seas if you want maritime non-Weird War II. And they round things off with Ancients in Hail Caesar.
The gangs are in control of the city. The police try and do what they can, but it's little compared to what the gangs do to one-another. Each one is trying to establish dominance. Which one will come out on top? That's up to you to decide in Yokai: City of Crime, a new area-control board game with simultaneous actions that's up on Kickstarter now.
Another round of Late-War Americans are hitting the beach as part of Battlefront's Flames of War D-Day Offensive. There's some pretty iconic units in this bunch of releases, including the M4 Sherman as well as the M7 Priest. You can head over to their webshop and add these units to your armies now.
Paizo has announced that they're teaming up with Archon Studios to create their Masterclass Starfinder miniatures. This includes changing over from resin to plastic. The members of the Night's Watch have sworn to protect Westeros. While they all have that goal in mind, each one still has their own ambitions and thoughts on how the Brotherhood should be run. We get a preview of what's coming here.
Friday. And not just any Friday, but the Friday before Gen Con week. That means there's only about 85k things to do (per minute). Well, while I type up "All The Words" for everything, I'm also going to stop and snack on some bite-sized gaming stories.

I went through several factions when I played Warmachine regularly. My smallest force (no pun intended), but one I loved the most, was a force consisting of the different dwarf figures. Gorten Grundback. Madhammer. Those little Gunbunnies running around. It was good fun. Well, with Oblivion, their theme force is getting an update. Let's see what changes are in store.
With the DC Deck-Building Game: Rebirth set coming out in just a couple days, Cryptozoic wanted to let you know about how the game works. For those coming to the system for the first time, you'll see how the game plays out as you fight against the forces of evil. For those long-time players, you can read up on what has changed and what's stayed the same. Let's take a look.
Another day, another preview of the rookies that will soon be making their way to Guild Ball pitches. This time around, we take a look at Gaffer, who is headed to the Mortician's Guild, and he looks like he's going to be taking up the spot left by Ghast after he exited, stage left, pursued by bear.
In God of War: The Card Game, you are looking to find a way to stop Ragnarok. You'll do that by going on quests, but what does that actually look like? The game uses a mosaic system of cards to create almost a board-game like feeling as you move your figure back and forth, deciding which cards you want to direct your attacks at. In this article, we get a little more detail about how that all works.
<whoop! whoop! whoop!>
You know what that sound means. It's the Giant Robot Alert and that's what Forge World is bringing us this week. They're the Knight Moirax and there's two weapon loadouts that you can pre-order now from their webshop for your 40k armies.

I have to admit, I was a Marvel guy and not a DC guy back when I read comics (which was decades ago at this point, mind you). So, I don't know anything about Doom Patrol. All I know is that Knight Models will be coming out with figures for them soon for the Batman Miniatures Game. And... apparently... it includes a donkey? O,o

Time for another preview of the upcoming rookies for Guild Ball. Each team is getting themselves a new player, and for the Hunter's Guild, that's The Edge... *reads notes* Wait, sorry, they are apparently not getting the guitarist from U2. This guy is just Edge. Sorry for the mix-up. Anyway, let's see what she brings to the table.
Thursday. Gateway to Friday, Gateway to the Weekend. We're getting there, everyone. We can make it. Having had an incredibly busy week, it's certainly gone by quickly for me. And today we're keeping on with it. We're also keeping with our custom of making your gaming tables look better.

Gridopolis takes board games to a whole new level... literally. Not content with just 2 axis, they've got for 3. In it, players are looking to build, move, or modify the ever-growing structure. It's like checkers, but with a 3D, modular, changeable board. Will you be the last one with pieces on the structure? The game is up on Kickstarter now.

I don't currently have any pets, but some of my friends do. One has multiple cats and when it's feeding time, they have to go through a whole ritual to keep the two from grabbing at each-other's food. That's the same as you'll be doing in Kibble Scuffle, though you're the ones trying to get all the bets tidbits. You can pick up your copies now.
I love sushi, though I don't go out and have it too often. When it's good, it's extremely delicious. When it's bad... ooof... Thankfully, Lefty in Quirky Circuits is excellent at making sushi. And that's what players will have him do, making it and delivering it to happy customers. Get a preview of how he works here.
