Gen Con recently put up their events list for con-goers to look over and sign up for the various events to be had. Many noticed that Greater Than Games had Sentinels of the Multiverse RPG events listed. This caused some confusion. "But there's not a Sentinels RPG!" .... Well... those people were right. Sort of. There's not a Sentinels of the Multiverse RPG... YET! Greater Than Games has just announced that they're working on just that product now.
Greater Than Games will be publishing an official Sentinels of the Multiverse RPG sometime next year. Critical-Hits Studios are the ones actually creating the game. There will also be extra writing and art from Adam Rebottaro and Christopher Badell.
On the side of Critical-Hits Studios, Cam Banks, Dave Chalker, and Philippe-Antoine Menard are looking to bring the excitement of the various Sentinels products to the RPG arena. The system being developed is entirely new, using a "dice pool" system where characters can help aid one-another in their actions. Players will be able to play as iconic Sentinels characters, but there will also be rules for creating your own superheroes as well.
As mentioned, there will be demos available during Gen Con. And be sure to look for the Kickstarter campaign coming next year.
