Pre-made adventures are super-helpful for the GM on the go. When necessary, they can just be dropped right into a game with minimal prep. Or, a GM can simply use one as a framework to do their own thing. Either way, more ideas floating around is nice. An Inner Darkness is a set of new adventures for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. The book is up on Kickstarter now.

One of the classic stories that pretty much every gamer knows at least of, if they've not actually read it, The Call of Cthulhu is one of H.P. Lovecraft's greatest works. Now, Free League Publishing is looking to create a new illustrated version, with art by Francois Baranger, having launched a Kickstarter campaign for it. While the initial funding is for just the illustrated novel, a stretch goal adds in a full RPG to it.

Usually in a 1 vs Many game, the 1 is the bad guy. They control all the evil things out there on the board. In Alone, it's the other way around. The 1 is the Hero, trying to escape an infested space ship, while the Many are playing the various terrible traps and aliens they will find along the way. Horrible Games is running a Kickstarter campaign for a new print run of the game that also includes new extras.

Ia! Ia!

The stars are right. Or, they will be right on February 15th. Get over all that lovey-dovey stuff from the day before with a whole heaping helping of horror. Free League Publishing has announced that's the date they'll launch their new Illustrated Call of Cthulhu Kickstarter campaign.

It's always good for the GM of a game to have more resources available to them. With that in mind, RiotMinds is running a Kickstarter campaign for the Carta Monstrorum, a big book of monsters and other horrors for the LexOccultum RPG. Along with that, they're teaming up with writer Steve Savile to work on it.

It's summer vacation, and a group of teenagers have found a secluded set of cabins in the woods where they're planning on having a wild time. Unfortunately for them, they're not alone. A crazed killer is on the loose, slowly hunting them down one by one. Who will survive? Who won't? That's up to you to decide in Slash-Accre, a new horror board game up on Kickstarter now.

A rag-tag group of kids going and solving mysteries and defeating ancient horrors is pretty hot right now in terms of theme. And that's what you get in Tales of Evil, a new horror board game that's up on Kickstarter. Become part of Pizza & Investigation and defeat demons and clear out evils from various locations.

You might think that the world can be strange and cruel, but it's got nothing on the things that lurk just outside of the realm of reality. And when those things try and encroach on our regular existence, stuff begins to go weird. It's up to the different investigators to figure out what's going on and put a stop to it. The Year of New Editions adds another notch to its list with the release of Arkham Horror 3rd Edition from Fantasy Flight Games.

Chicago by Night. This one I know. You go to Portillo's. You hit up Navy Pier. You maybe check out the Miracle Mile. The Planetarium and Shed Aquarium and Museum of Science and Industry will be closed, but being vampires, I'm sure you can find a way in. Plus, you avoid the crowds. So that's good.

Man... now I really want Portillo's...

Anyway, Chicago by Night, a sourcebook for Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition is up on Kickstarter now.

Sometimes, the solution is worse than the problem. Or, at least, the proposed solution. During a long war between humans and elves, the elves summoned a giant ball of iron to fall from the sky and crush the human forces. Unfortunately, that iron ball has since corroded and is mutating and warping anything it touches. The elves fled. The humans mostly died off. Those that could took refuge underground. That's where you find yourself in The Black Iron, a new horrror fantasy RPG that's up on Kickstarter now.

Night of the Living Dead came out 50 years ago this month. It's an icon of the horror movie genre, basically laying the groundwork for all zombie movies to come. George A. Romero's classic is soon to be getting an official board game, as CMON has announced that they've procured the license and will be making a new game based on the property.

Thousand Year Old Vampire is a new solo RPG that's up on Kickstarter now. Take over the role of the titular vampire from the very beginning with the loss of their humanity all the way until their end. It's great for those vampire afficionados (I'm looking at you, Suzy) and anyone who might not have an RPG group around and just want to embrace your darker side.

It's the time of the year where even those that only have a moderate enjoyment of horror movies go all-out. I've got my own stash of movies that I tend to get out just for this time of year. Horror Boards looks to bring that love of horror movies to your tabletops in an expandable board game. The game's up on Kickstarter now.

Name? Speak up man, speak up.
"Shropshire Slasher."
Occupation?
"Shropshire Slasher."

For those of you that have ever wanted to be in or direct your own slasher movie, there's a perfect RPG for you. It's called, aptly enough, Slasher, and the new expanded and revised edition is available now, just for any sort of spooky games you're running this month.

If you're a fan of horror and the macabre, you might wish that there was an RPG out there that really got you. One just full of strange and grotesque scenery and settings, with themes that really look to stretch your mind and twist it into incomprehensible shapes. Well, Xas Irkalla might be just what you're looking for. The survival horror RPG is available now.

From announcement to pre-order to release, the new 5th edition of Vampire: The Masquerade is taking no time (even immortal undead hate waiting). Modiphius has started taking pre-orders for the core rulebook (in three versions, depending on how luxurious you want the book to be), as well as Camarilla and Anarch sourcebooks, dice sets, notebooks, and various bundles thereof.

Vampire: The Masquerade is one of those venerable titles in gaming. You might not hear it quite as often as some others, but it's withstood the test of time and is played by many all over the world. As such, it's pretty big news when a new edition of it is looking to hit the streets. And that's just what's happening this year. The 5th edition will be coming out due to a partnership between White Wolf and Modiphius.

Mantic's The Walking Dead: All Out War pits you against your opponent for control of the board and resources. Oh, and there's hoards of zombies walking around. Can't forget those (it is kinda right in the name). The game is rather scenario-heavy, and it can potentially lead to running out of new ones to try. Well, fear not, as Mantic has posted up some new scenarios you can try not.

There's a lot of things out there in the dark places that want to get you. Strange, otherworldly things with malevolent intentions. But you aren't some weak-hearted individual who would just scream and cower. You're a Seeker. It's your duty to go find those nightmares-made-flesh and make the world safe. That's the story behind League of Seekers, a horror RPG set in an alternate 18th century Europe. The game's up on Kickstarter now.

Some people like the items they get a bit more special, a bit more flashy. They don't just want any old edition of a game, they want the limited edition one. They don't want your average release, but the premium one. And if they can get something specially made for them, they'll go for it. If you're that type of person and you like horror RPGs, then the Personalized Premium Limited Edition version of the D13 RPG Kickstarter is just up your alley. The project is running now.

There's a lot of folktales from England. Many of them tell of various horrors that lurk out in the dark countryside. Now, I might not normally suggest playing a game based on those stories by yourself in the dark, but that's just what you're supposed to do with English Eerie: Rural Horror Stories. The game is a solo RPG from Trollish Delver Games. You can get your copy now.

Well, it would seem as though the dead have risen from their graves and are looking to take over the Earth. The living are fighting back as best they can, but it's a rough world out there. The Catholic Church is seen as a major bulwark against the undead. But a heretical faction is rising up. What will you do? That's the story behind Sine Requie: Snake Eyes, a horror RPG that's up on Kickstarter now.
