Pre-made adventures are super-helpful for the GM on the go. When necessary, they can just be dropped right into a game with minimal prep. Or, a GM can simply use one as a framework to do their own thing. Either way, more ideas floating around is nice. An Inner Darkness is a set of new adventures for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. The book is up on Kickstarter now.Discuss

One of the classic stories that pretty much every gamer knows at least of, if they've not actually read it, The Call of Cthulhu is one of H.P. Lovecraft's greatest works. Now, Free League Publishing is looking to create a new illustrated version, with art by Francois Baranger, having launched a Kickstarter campaign for it. While the initial funding is for just the illustrated novel, a stretch goal adds in a full RPG to it.Discuss
Usually in a 1 vs Many game, the 1 is the bad guy. They control all the evil things out there on the board. In Alone, it's the other way around. The 1 is the Hero, trying to escape an infested space ship, while the Many are playing the various terrible traps and aliens they will find along the way. Horrible Games is running a Kickstarter campaign for a new print run of the game that also includes new extras.Discuss

With that in mind, RiotMinds is running a Kickstarter campaign for the Carta Monstrorum, a big book of monsters and other horrors for the LexOccultum RPG. Along with that, they're teaming up with writer Steve Savile to work on it.Discuss
It's summer vacation, and a group of teenagers have found a secluded set of cabins in the woods where they're planning on having a wild time. Unfortunately for them, they're not alone. You might think that the world can be strange and cruel, but it's got nothing on the things that lurk just outside of the realm of reality. Chicago by Night. This one I know. You go to Portillo's. You hit up Navy Pier. You maybe check out the Miracle Mile. The Planetarium and Shed Aquarium and Museum of Science and Industry will be closed, but being vampires, I'm sure you can find a way in. Plus, you avoid the crowds. So that's good.
Man... now I really want Portillo's...
Anyway, Chicago by Night, a sourcebook for Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition is up on Kickstarter now.Discuss
Sometimes, the solution is worse than the problem. Or, at least, the proposed solution. During a long war between humans and elves, the elves summoned a giant ball of iron to fall from the sky and crush the human forces. Unfortunately, that iron ball has since corroded and is mutating and warping anything it touches. The elves fled. The humans mostly died off. Those that could took refuge underground. That's where you find yourself in The Black Iron, a new horrror fantasy RPG that's up on Kickstarter now.Discuss
Night of the Living Dead came out 50 years ago this month. It's an icon of the horror movie genre, basically laying the groundwork for all zombie movies to come. George A. Romero's classic is soon to be getting an official board game, as CMON has announced that they've procured the license and will be making a new game based on the property.Discuss
Thousand Year Old Vampire is a new solo RPG that's up on Kickstarter now. Take over the role of the titular vampire from the very beginning with the loss of their humanity all the way until their end. It's great for those vampire afficionados (I'm looking at you, Suzy) and anyone who might not have an RPG group around and just want to embrace your darker side.Discuss
It's the time of the year where even those that only have a moderate enjoyment of horror movies go all-out. I've got my own stash of movies that I tend to get out just for this time of year. Horror Boards looks to bring that love of horror movies to your tabletops in an expandable board game. The game's up on Kickstarter now.Discuss
