Year 2019

Japanime has a whole anthology of games up on Kickstarter now. It's called The Domina Anthology, and it spans through Argoat, Miraris, and Pralaya, a trio f card games that you can play in a row, or separately. Check out the campaign.

Just as you're picking up your copies of the new Mask of the Oni and Shadowlands books for the Legend of the Five Rings RPG, Fantasy Flight is adding to it all with a new downloadable scenario you can tack on. It's called The Knotted Tails (so, no, it's not a Tails of Equestria adventure), and you can get your copy now.

Sometimes you want to just sit down and tell a story with friends. A real collaborative one with all sorts of twists and turns as you go. That's what Base allows you to do. It's a collaborative storytelling RPG that's up on Kickstarter now that uses cards to quickly and efficiently generate random elements and characters for you and your group.

The fields of Europe are a major battleground, where Soviet and NATO forces are clashing. But all of those tanks, trucks, planes, and helicopters won't make it to the battlefield without gas. And that means oil. And that means the Middle East is just as contested as anywhere else. Oil War is the new sourcebook coming for Team Yankee, and you can get your name on the list to get the book as soon as it's realeased.

It's always nice to have some pre-made adventures hanging around so you can easily drop them into your games. For those that play Starfinder, you've got the Starfinder Soceity, with all its linked adventures for the different campaigns. Paizo's posted up March's entries, so you can head out into the stars now.

There's a new campaign book coming out for Infinity in the form of the Daedalus Fall campaign. Inside it, there's a whole bunch of exciting things, including some new and updated rules. Corvus Belli gives us a look inside what's changing so you can know about it ahead of time and not be caught off-guard.

The latest set for Pathfinder Battles, Ruins of Lastwall, is now available. Whenever I'm playing an RPG, I like to have the right figures out there to represent what I'm playing/fighting. And there's always having multiple versions so you can keep them separate. So it's nice to have another set of figs to choose from.

It's quite a release day for Fantasy Flight. They've got Wave III for X-Wing that you can pick up, including fighters for pretty much every faction. They've also got new books for the Legend of the Five Rings RPG out. There's the Shadowlands book as well as Mask of the Oni adventure. All are available now.

Critical Core is a new RPG that's up on Kickstarter. But it's a little different than most, as it was designed with the Autism spectrum in mind. It's been put together to help those who are autistic build social skills and confidence. Knowing several people on the spectrum as I do, I'm certainly excited to see a product like this being produced.

Everything old is new again. RiotMinds is looking to bring back the classic fantasy RPG, Ruin Masters, and they've taken to Kickstarter to get it done. This new version looks to update the rules from its 1982 original versions and bring it to an English-speaking audience. Have yourself a look.

Limitless Adventures is running a new Kickstarter campaign. In this case, it's Limitless NPCs. Now, as much as it would be cool to actually be limitless, there aren't actually an infinite number of NPCs in the book. That would take too long to print. However, there are over a hundred of them for your 5th edition D&D games, and that's pretty good to fill up quite a few sessions in your games.

For all you bibliophiles in the audience, there's a new adventure and sourcebook up on Kickstarter for 5th edition D&D. It's called Tales and Tomes from the Forbidden Library. I've already had one author friend who I sent the link to go, "ooooooh!" in response. If you're a fan of books and want to bring that love to your character, this is your chance.

Happy Friday Eve, everyobody. Also, I realize that it's now spring. A new season is upon us. My week is still extremely busy and just racing by, so let's get you some terrain before we race into the weekend.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Prepainted Terrain From Manorhouse Workshop, Endor Defense Map for Imperial Assault Announced, New Sci-Fi Battlemat Books Available From Loke Battlemats, and New Map Packs and Battlemat Available For Battletech.

Giant robot alert! We have giant robot alert! <whoop! whoop! whoop!>

Lancer is a new sci-fi rpg coming to Kickstarter next month where players take on the role of mech pilots in the future, having to deal with all the various things that come with that (usually pretty war-based things, being mechs and all). There's a free preview version that you can check out now in preparation for the Kickstarter launch.

We seem to be in another one of those cycles where WizKids announces a new game every other day or so. This time around, it's Merlin's Beast Hunt. It's a dice-allocation game where players are trying to corral magical beasts by planting fast-growing magical hedges all around them. The player with the most spectacular menagerie at the end is the winner.

I remember when this was just known as "the Jedi Starfighter." But, in reality (or... fictionality?), it's called the Delta-7 Aethersprite. And you'll soon be able to add it to your X-Wing squadrons. In this preview, we get a look at just how it works, along with some of the different Jedi pilots for it.

Warlord Games is selling off the last of their Test of Honour miniatures kits. Dont' worry, fans of the game. It's not coming to an end. It's just moving. Grey For Now will soon be taking it over. So Warlord's just clearing their inventory before the swap.

Wyrd Games is continuing their ramp-up to Malifaux 3rd Edition. This week, we get a look at the various books that will be coming out for the game. Yes, books, as in plural. Intead of just a single tome, there's going to be a whole mess of them for your reading pleasure. Let's take a look.

The sci-fi miniaturs game, Breachstorm, is looking to get a new faction. They're called the Volucrid Host, and they're nasty. I mean, they're giant bugs. That's kinda gross. Who wants bugs all over everywhere? This new faction will hopefully be funded when they hit Kickstarter at the end of next month.

Coming up with a world as a GM is really tough. There's about a million things to try and figure out, and it can all get very complex very fast. It's much easier to leave that to someone else and then bask in their creativity as you take your adventurers around. Welcome to Tikor is a new setting book for the Swordsfall RPG. You can check it out on Kickstarter now.

I mean, if you had superpowers and could run around in flashy spandex, wouldn't you? I know I would. Unfortunately, I can only live vicariously through Prowlers & Paragons, the superhero RPG from Evil Beagle Games. They've tweaked and finessed the rules over the last couple years, and they're ready to come out with the Ultimate Edition of their game, and they've taken to Kickstarter to get it funded.

I work on the internet. It can be a weird place. That pretty much goes without saying. But I don't really want to rule the whole internet... or do I? And while I might not become the next internet superstar in real life (such as it is), I could do it in Internet A Bit’n Byte Conquest, a new board game from Black Lich that's up on Kickstarter now.

As-expected, the week is just shooting by. Being super-busy will do that to you. I've got a lot more to do, so I'd better nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Dragons of the Red Moon Up On Kickstarter, New Pulp Inc Paper Miniatures Available From Okumarts Games, New 15mm Baggage Available From Baueda, MidKnight Heroes Running Super Chibi Villains Kickstarter, Kraken Dice Releasing Peach Bellini Taffy Dice Set Tomorrow, and King Games running Dunkledorf Fantasy Townsfolk Miniatures Kickstarter.

Gotta admit, I love lizardmen figures. I mean, they're dinosaur-people! How can you get much cooler than that (ok, so, giant robots, but still, a close second)? Last Sword Miniatures is running a Kickstarter campaign for a Lizardman army for 9th Age. You can head over and get yourself some new figures now.

Steamforged had come out with a couple new captains for some Guild Ball teams (in fact, I just got mine in the mail yesterday). But what about the rest of the teams? Well, they're getting new captains as well, and in this preview, we get a look at the Mason's captain, Corbell.
