Year 2019

It's been a little while since we've heard from our friends over at One Page Rules, but that doesn't mean that they've not been busy. They've been working away at new rulebooks for both Grimdark Future and Age of Fantasy. That work has paid off and they're ready to release both books for you now over on their website.

There were many manufacturing advances during WWII. The Tesla Corps chief among them, with their new weapons of war that were secretly being sold to both sides of the conflict. The war has also seen the return of the aos si' to the world, coming up out of the Leylines. In this new form of WWII, who will come out on top? That's for you to decide in Guardians of Umbra, a new setting book using the Savage Worlds system that's up on Kickstarter now.

The folks over at Knuckleduster Miniatures have a pair of new Gunfighter's Ball figure sets for you to add to your rootin', tootin', shootin' collections. First up, there's the Linguine faction. And, because bullets will be flyin', there's a Casualties pack as well. Let's hope you're giving those to your opponent to use and not having to use them all yourself.

The folks at Indie Boards and Cards had one Kickstarter campaign for Kodama 3D going, but it wasn't quite right. So, they did some pruning, grabbed some extra fertilizer, and they're looking to have this next go be better. They've relaunched a new campaign and are looking for funding now.

Happy Friday, everyone. Glad you could join us. Got any plans for the weekend? I've rapidly been realizing that next week will be a short one for us here in the US, as many of us will have at least Thursday off, and quite possibly taking Friday off as well. So, that's something to look forward to. But before we go have a BBQ cook out, let's nibble on some bite-sized gaming stories to get us there.

Today on the platter we have: WWII German Officer Available From Brother Vinni and Healer's Dice Up On Kickstarter.

Flying Pig Games' popular Old School Tactical WWII game is making their way out to the Pacific. The sand, the surf, the sea, the desperate island-hopping battles of the US versus the Japanese. It's all there. Relive many classic battles during those tense times, with 16 different scenarios included in the game. You can check it out over on Kickstarter now.

If you want to fill your day with gaming info, a gaming magazine is a great way to do that. And if you're a Dungeons & Dragons player, you'll always want to check out Dragon+. It's always full of new options for both players and DMs alike. Issue 26 is available now for your downloading and reading pleasure. It's free, so why not check it out?

Technology has advanced to the point where we're headed out into the solar system and establishing bases and colonies off the Earth. In this instance, Europa, one of the moons of Jupiter. In this new "gold rush era," everyone is looking to establish the most extensive colony network. Will you be the one to do it? That's up to you to decide in Europa Base Alpha, now available from WizKids.

Those that oppose House Cawdor must face judgement. Those within House Cawdor must remain vigiliant. Why? because the Headsman isn't going to just hang out doing nothing all day. Necromunda players can order the new House Cawdor Executioner figure now from Forge World.

The wait is over. For you Malifaux players out there, you don't have to wait and see how things will be any longer. Wyrd has posted up the 3rd edition rulebook for Malifaux, as well as the stat cards, so you can get playing right away. I don't know about you, but I'm always really happy when that "limbo period" of "a new edition has been announced, but it's not released yet" is finally over.

Yarr arr yarr! I loddie the hotpants!

Pirates of a Shattered World takes players to a different type of post-apocalyptic world. Set along an archipelago, players are science-fantasy pirates cruising the seas looking for adventure, treasure, and trouble. It uses its own game system to power it all. The new game is up on Kickstarter now.

Whe you want to fill your day with gaming information, a gaming magazine is a great way to do that. And while Casual Game Insider is still on Kickstarter, they've also put out their Summer issue for you to download and enjoy. As usual, it's filled with all manner of useful articles. Get your copy now.

Normally, you don't want to grab a pair of scissors and just go to town on your games. But that's exactly what you'll be doing in ClipCut Parks, a new game coming from Renegade Game Studios. Grab your snippers and create beautiful parks for your city. Be the first to create 5 and win.

Nobody was 100% sure what was going to happen when a nuclear bomb went off. That's what the tests were for. However, one was much bigger than expected and it cracked the Earth all the way to the mantle. The subsequent flooding caused humanity to find refuge out to sea on a massive Flotilla. And that's just where you find yourself in the new board game, announced by WizKids. Scavenge, Survive, Trade, Explore, and become the most powerful person in this new landscape.

Friday Eve. We're almost back to the weekend. I'm planning on just taking it easy, because sometimes a, "not do anything of any real consequence" weekend is nice. But eventually I'll have a gaming weekend again, and I'll want to make sure my gaming table looks good. You should make sure of that, too.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: PuzzleLock Sewers & Undercity Terrain Available Now, RPG Map Tiles Up On Kickstarter, and Battle Systems Terrain Kickstarter Happening Now.

For those that have played any of the Fragged RPGs, you might want to spread out from the core lands and see what's out there. Or, at the very least, if you've been there, to have some more info on just what's going on. Well, you're in luck. There's a Kickstarter campaign going on right now for not one, not two, but three different region books for the games. Have yourself a look-see.

The new edition of Shadowrun is coming out soon. Very soon. And Catalyst Game Labs wants you to see what's coming. They've posted up a character dossier for you to check out. It's for Emu, the human rigger (I don't think she's actually an emu named Juarez. No word on if they are or are not an ---hole).

The Korean War is sometimes called The Forgotten War since, well, it doesn't get nearly as much attention as WWII or Vietnam. And yet it was a very important war with effects very much felt today. Warlord Games is giving you a chance to bring that war to your tabletops with Bolt Action: Korea, a new supplement that lets you recreate those battles. Pre-orders will begin in just over a day.

Jedi and their Apprentices. They're the fulcrum around which much of the Star Wars saga rotates. The upcoming Spark of Hope set for Star Wars: Destiny brings more of those characters to your decks. So, you can pick up Yoda and add him. Or maybe pick up some Younglings (as opposed to Yuenglings). It's up to you.

Nicol Bolas is looking to take over Ravnica. Their agents are all over the plane, looking to forward their agenda. Meanwhile, the Gatewatch Loyalists look to thwart their every move. Which will come out ahead? That's for you to decide in Ravnica: Inquisition, a new social deduction game based in Magic: The Gathering's most popular plane. You can pick up your copies now.

In what should be a surprise to absolutely nobody, I was a bit reclusive and very nerdy back in high school. I never even considered going to any sort of dance. And since those days are far, far, far behind me, the only way I could experience that sort of thing now (without being extremely creepy about it by just showing up at one) would be to play a game like Dance Card! from Cardboard Console. The game is up on Kickstarter now.

The skies over the Pacific during WWII were filled with all manner of aircraft in a desperate struggle for survival and superiority. Soon, you'll be able to bring that excitement to your tabletop with Fire in the Sky, a new board game from Phalanx. They are taking pre-orders over on their site now.

Awaken Realms has been hard at work at a new board game. It's called Etherfields and it's been designed by Michał Oracz, who has quite a resume to his name. They'll be launching a Kickstarter campaign for the game soon and wanted to show off what the campaign will look like. Also, they want to make sure people sign up for notification when it launches, since if you back in the first 24 hours, you'll get an extra figure for the game.

I never want to go out into the ocean. We have no idea what really is living out there, and it'd be just my luck that I take one step into the waves and something like this Elder Sea Dragon attacks. So, I'll just live vicariously through games like DeepWars. And speaking of those two, AntiMatter Games has started taking down names of those who would like a new Elder Sea Dragon mini when it's released next month.

Halfway through the week. That's where we're at. It's been an alright week, if you ask me. Busy. Lots of stuff to get done. But that makes the time go by. It also makes me a bit peckish for some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Mighty Lords Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, Ardent Roleplay Augmented Reality for RPGs Coming Soon, Andrehyos Fantasy Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, Privateer Press Announces Savage MiniCrate, and Kraken Dice Releasing Journey of Souls Collection Dice.
