Year 2019

Summertime. Summertime. Sum-sum-summertime. Sure, most people are back in school and the temperatures are starting to fall here in the Northern Hemisphere, but that doesn't mean that Summer's over just yet (we still have a good 20-something days of it). Warlord Games certainly isn't done with summer, as they're Summer Celebration Sale is happening now.

With Pathfinder 2nd Edition now being well established in many gaming groups, it's time to begin expanding on the core books some. Paizo is hard at work getting the next one ready. It's got a little time to go, but considering what's in it, it's no wonder it'll take some time. Bestiary 2 is coming, but not until April. What will you get for your wait? Well, not 100, not 200, and not even 300 monsters, but more than 350 to throw at your players (hopefully not all at once).

The WWE is slamming its way into HeroClix. Do a double-flip off the top turnbuckle and pin your opponents. With the new slew of wrestlers making their way to the ring, the game is getting some new Standard Powers to represent the high-flying action. In this article, we get a look at them for veterans and new gamers alike to see what's coming.

When Battlefront has some big release, they don't just send out the skus to the stores and let things go on by. No, they celebrate. And with the release of the D-Day Germans for Flames of War coming up in just over a week, they want to make sure you know you're invited to their Live Launch. All that weekend, they'll have special things going on over at their website for you to check out.

Sometimes, classic games get themselves a new publisher and there's a new edition put out. In this case, the classic game is Successors, where players take on the role of Alexander the Great's generals as they fight over his empire, and the publisher is Phalanx. The new edition is up on Kickstarter now.

It's been 10 years. *sniffle* They grow up so fast. Ninja Division/Soda Pop Miniatures has been around for a decade and they're wanting to celebrate with a special-edition Candy miniature that you can order now. They won't be around forever, so get yours now.

We've made it into the work week proper. It's Tuesday and that means the weekend is getting closer. For those here in the US, that means Labor Day is coming up. Time for the last summer beach trip. And, for those of us here in the Southeast, that means Dragon*Con. Personally, I will be staying OTP this upcoming weekend, but I know a lot of friends that are going. Either way, it's time to listen to some gaming podcasts.

Today on the dial we have: Chance of Gaming Episode 36; The Secret Cabal Episode 189: Era Medieval Age, The Reckoners, Gen Con 2019 and a Short Topic Extravaganza; Tabletop Talk Episode 36: McCabe (Ten Thunders) Deep Dive with Robert and Alyx; Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 153: The Artemis Project; Morrus' Unofficial Tabletop RPG Talk Episode 62: 2000AD, Devil’s Run, and Kings of War with Marc Langworthy; and Game Classy Episode 194: He-Man Crisis Protocol.

Are you finding it difficult to find a way to transport your tyrannosaurus? I know I'd been having issues with it. They're big, a bit unruly, and it just seems that there's not a lot of places they'll fit. Thankfully, Battle Foam is here. They have some new trays specifically designed to specifically carry games like Warcry, Zombicide Invader, and Batman Gotham City Chronicles. You can pick up yours now.

Labor Day. Time for one last summer beach trip before Autumn and eventually Winter takes over the Northern Hemisphere. If you're looking to stock up on some gaming gear before the weather turns cold, GobboTown Games is running themselves a sale over in their webshop for their Cthulhu Xothic Wars minis. But head over now, as these deals won't last forever.

Aftermath is the upcoming adventure book game from Plaid Hat Games. Humans have vanished and the various creatures of the world have risen up to take their place. But it's not all been harmonious and several different factions have been created. Who are these factions and what are they like? that's just what we get a look at in this preview.

Pathfinder Battles: Legendary Adventures, the next set for Pathfinder Battles from Paizo and WizKids are about to hit shelves. But that doesn't mean that there's not time for one more preview of what you'll be getting. This time around, they focus on some of the enemies that players will surely be facing off against when the set hits shelves. Let's take a look.

Dead of Night. Some people might use that term to describe when I wake up in the morning and start work (been up since 2:30am. No alarm clock required. And no caffeine consumed). But it's also the name of the next expansion coming up for Arkham Horror. As one would expect, there's some new Investigators incoming. In this preview, we get a look at them.

War And Peace.

No, not the classic novel. This time, we're talking about the classic Mark McLaughlin board game all about the Napoleonic Wars. Cover all of Europe with your French armies, or fight back against it. Can you hang on to Europe? Will you head into Russia in October? The new edition of the game is up on Kickstarter now.

"Honesty is the best policy" is a good motto to live by in your everyday life.

When you're sitting down at the gaming table... ... maybe not so much. That's the story behind Honesty Stone, a new abstract strategy board game that's up on Kickstarter now.

Sure, there's plenty of adventure to be had while traveling around the continent of Trudvang. But what about all the adventure to be had while traveling inside the continent of Trudvang? And I don't mean just within the borders, but getting down, deep underground. There lies Musphelheim, home of the dwarves. RiotMinds is running a Kickstarter to bring this new region book to their Trudvang Chronicles RPG.

What do you get when you combine legendary game designer Richard Garfield with a man who went on Jeopardy and mopped up for show after show? You get Half Truth. It's a trivia game with a difference, as players don't necessarily have to know the answer, but just which ones are hopefully true, placing bets on where they think the right answers are. The game is up on Kickstarter now.

Aaaaaaaand we're back to Monday. Can't say that I really did a ton of stuff over the weekend. But that's alright. It's kinda what I wanted. I did make some banana bread, though. Had to use my new loaf pan I got the week before. But, seeing as it's Monday, we need to make your gaming tables look better so you're not just using old loaf pans as terrain.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: 3D Printable Fantasy Dwarven Mine RPG Dungeon Tiles Up On Kickstarter, A5 Gamers' Notebook Grid and Hex Version Up On Kickstarter, and The Old Dungeon Entrance Terrain Up On Kickstarter.

And we're at the end. The last of the new Rookies is up for preview over on the Steamforged Games site. So, if you're wanting to know what your newest Guild Ball player can do before you buy them, now's your time to do just that. Let's head over to the Mason's Guild and check out Champ.

The smash hit board game Pandemic has had a successful cooperative tourney scene for 5 years now. Z-Man Games has posted up a little bit about how they got there, along with some interesting information about future Pandemic games and where they'll fall into the tourney scene, plus a little peek at games coming with the Pandemic System designation.

There's so many Ancestries (formerly known as Races) that one can play in Pathfinder, it might be hard to figure out what you want to choose. With the release of 2nd edition, players have found a new one they can try, the Hobgoblin. But what does playing one mean for the game? In this article, Paizo takes a look at just that.

The Night's Watch defend Westeros from the horrors beyond The Wall. Keeping them armed and armored are the Builders. They also create units that take to the field of battle. In this instance, they're grabbing trusty crossbows to pepper the enemies with bolts before they can close. Get a look at how this unit will work in the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures game.

Pting! Pting! Pting!

Some new box sets are availble to pre-order from Games Workshop over in their store for some of the spin-off games from 40k. There's a new Kill Team starter that pits the Space Marines against the Tau. Then, you have a new Blackstone Fortress expansion called Escalation. It, as one would expect, continues on the story of the game as you try and take back the weapon systems in the fortress.

Something sinister is lurking behind a tech giant company. You can't really put your finger on it, but you know it's there. As the launch of the latest smartphone comes closer, you just got to find out what's really happening. Will you be able to handle what you find out? That's for you to decide in Techlandia, a new suspense board game that's up on Kickstarter now.

"This is just one huge fiasco!" It's what you say when a rather convoluted plan starts going all to hell and things start figuratively and literally possibly start flying into or out of the windows and nothing works out. It's also describing when you and your friends get down to play a game of Fiasco. All sorts of convoluted plans go awry and you have to figure out a solution (if you can). A new edition of the classic game is up on Kickstarter now.

I like trains. *gets run over by a train*

De-mond the Moon Bear! *pause* "How did I get here?"

I baked you a pie!
"What flavor?"
Pie flavor! *guitar riff*

So, I might've seen the ASDFMovies a cooooouple of times. Now, the creators behind it are running a Kickstarter for a new card game called Muffin Time that's as weird and random as the internet videos.
