Dragon Town and the Darkness Below Now on Kickstarter: A Whimsical Yet Dangerous Adventure

A new system-neutral fantasy adventure, Dragon Town and the Darkness Below, has launched on Kickstarter. Set in a whimsical town with an expansive network of strange caves beneath it, the adventure offers a lighthearted yet dangerous tabletop roleplaying experience.

The story revolves around the disappearance of Dragon Town’s mayor, a giant gold dragon, which sets players on an adventure through a world filled with quirky characters and challenging encounters. Players will face mischievous Goatlins, trap-laden Kobold lairs, and a cult of Batfolk worshiping darkness, all while uncovering the mystery behind the mayor’s vanishing.

The adventure is system-neutral, meaning it can be used with a wide variety of tabletop roleplaying games, including popular systems like 5E, Pathfinder, and Dungeon Crawl Classics, among others.

The physical book accompanying the adventure is a 208-page hardcover that features full-color illustrations, numerous maps, magic items, and a large cast of non-player characters to enrich the storytelling experience. The campaign spans multiple unique locations, offering months of content, though individual chapters can also be played as one-shot adventures or inserted into an existing campaign.

The project has already garnered over $45,000 in pledges, far exceeding its initial $20,000 goal, with 519 backers currently supporting it. The Kickstarter campaign runs until October 24, leaving plenty of time for more fans to get involved.
