Grim Hollow: Transformed Brings Expanded Dark Fantasy Adventures to 5E on Kickstarter

Ghostfire Gaming has launched Grim Hollow: Transformed on Kickstarter, presenting a fully revised and expanded version of their dark fantasy setting for 5th Edition. This update offers new content for both players and GMs, including significant changes to the Player’s Guide and Campaign Guide. The new version is also fully compatible with the upcoming 2024 rules update for 5E, making it an ideal resource for those seeking a grittier, more grounded fantasy experience.

The Player’s Guide has been rebuilt with new options for character creation, featuring the Heritage Trait System, which allows players to customize their characters with over 100 different traits. In addition to these traits, the guide introduces a new Monster Hunter class, along with 40 subclasses, including 16 new options. The guide also includes redesigned Monstrous Transformations, offering players the chance to transform their characters into creatures such as vampires or werewolves.

The Campaign Guide has also been expanded, with more detailed lore and history for the world of Etharis. GMs will find additional material to enhance their campaigns, including over 100 magic items, variant rules designed to capture the dark fantasy atmosphere, and new mechanics for managing Grievous and Permanent Wounds. The guide provides a more in-depth look at the factions, regions, and lore of Etharis.

The Kickstarter campaign for Grim Hollow: Transformed has already surpassed its original goal, with $442,172 pledged by 2,346 backers as of now. The campaign ends on November 1.
