I moved away from "home" quite a long time ago and it's not all that often that I get back. When I do to see family, the changes to me are major while they're basically used to it all, having experienced them slowly over years while I'm getting them all at once. The stories of those changes is the crux of An Altogether Different River, a storytelling game that's up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
An Altogether Different River is a storytelling game for 2-4 players about creating a Town, and exploring how it changed through the lenses of the people who have left it and returned, and the people who stayed behind.
It's meant to be played in one or two sessions of about 3-4 hours each and does not require a Game Master, though having a dedicated facilitator can be helpful.
The campaign is up and over its funding goal with 12 days left to go.
