Halfway through the week. We've made it this far. We can make it the rest of the way. Just gotta keep putting one foot in front of the other. What will also help is having some tasty things to munch on. In this case, we've got some bite-sized gaming stories to enjoy.
Today on the platter we have: Arvalon Sci-Fi Minis and Terrain Up On Kickstarter, Jurassic Dice Up On Kickstarter, Hyperboria Dice Up On Kickstarter, and Zen Dice Up On Kickstarter.
The Arvalon 8 project is two parts: a support-free 28mm scenery collection, (of printable files for a 3D printer) designed for wargames, role playing games, and skirmish games; and a collection of amazing miniatures, including hunters, smugglers, and their ships to bring the world to life. Pledges will be delivered as STL files for you to print on your home 3D Printer. Most of the terrain files were designed to fit 3D printers with a bed size of 220mm x 220mm bed and print without supports! All pieces of terrain were designed to work with a tabletop gaming scale of 28mm-32mm.
The project also sees the input of competitive 40K/Legion tournament player and Tournament Organizer Cody Brown, who brought his expertise to make sure that this terrain set would be perfect for TOs and players alike. A focus was put on making sure the terrain set was durable, functional, while also looking great. 5 inches high, 1 inch thick, modular, and with a wide variety of scatter and area terrain makes this terrain set the perfect start to a player's or TO's dream table.
Since 2017 I’ve been designing extraordinary dice as a hobby. The dice started to get more interest and I decided to start Robert Martin. (Referring to my second and middle name)
Robert Martin now has 9 projects successfully funded and fulfilled. We have a website that is up and running where dice enthusiasts can buy our custom dice.
For a long time, we have been working on our biggest project yet. And now it is finally here… Jurassic Dice!
From North Wind Adventures, creators of Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea™, come HYPERBOREA DICE, a beautiful set of nine (9) polyhedral dice, and a 4 x 6-inch Colombian leather pouch.
ZEN-DICE are made of camphorwood. It’s called “Kusunoki” in Japanese. The camphorwood trees are symbol of an amulet and longevity in Japan. That’s why the trees have been loved by Japanese since ancient times. In addition to good luck, there’s another reason why people have loved the trees. It’s the effect of insect repellent. The effect is suitable for materials used in wooden items like furniture. The effect can also be used to make Buddhist statues, so we sometimes use camphorwood to make them. At that time craftsmen carve the wood. Carving is careful and delicate process, so high skill is needed. We are proud of our craftsmen’s skill, and thus we adopt the carving skill to make ZEN-DICE.
