Monday went by quickly. I know that seems rather inconsequential, but considering last week, I'm happy to say that this week doesn't at least seem like it will take a month to get through. Let's keep that idea rolling along. I know listening to some gaming podcasts help my work day go by quickly. I hope they work for you, too. Let's get to it.
This week on the dial we have: Morrus' Unofficial Tabletop RPG Talk Episode 85: Capers with Craig Campbell; 40K Radio Episode 47: Guess Who’s Back; The Secret Cabal Express Episode 56: Our Early Days of Gaming and the Top 5 Games that Shaped us as Board Gamers; The D6 Generation Pip Episode 35: Star Wars Legion Update; and Tabletop Talk Episode 59: Malifaux Deep Dive: Wong (Bayou).
This week, Morrus is joined by special guest co-host Shane Stacks as we talk with Craig Campbell about his award-winning RPG Capers and the current Kickstarter for a deluxe hardcover edition! In the news, Critical Role’s Matt Mercer updates his custom D&D class the Blood Hunter for charity, a new Dungeons & Dragons board game on the horizon, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay’s GM screen on its way soon, and more plus Our Favorite Game in All the World and a brand new sketch about a very equine-focused wizard.
In this episode we are finally joined by the one and only Ashley! We find out what exotic locals she’s been visiting and find out what the future holds for the show.
In episode 56, Chris and Jamie start out by talking about their early days of gaming. The games and friends they experienced that made them hobbyists. Then they list the top 5 board games that shaped them and turned them into the serious hobby board games they are today.
As Star Wars Legion expands to 4 factions Craig & Russ have doubled down on the game! They share what they are enjoying and why they think this game has legs.
Join Craig and his guest breaks down WONG and the Wiz Bang keyword. What does this crew do on the table? What models make up the core crew? What strategies do they excel in? What schemes do they like? What schemes do they hard counter?
