Each round begins with a roll of two dice, determining two actions that players will execute on their boards. Once an action is selected, it is marked and cannot be repeated until a reset occurs. If an action is already marked in a subsequent round, the player marks and executes the next available action to the right. As the game progresses, players can unlock additional actions, collect resources, and even face villains while interacting with nearby towns for trading opportunities.

The game encourages careful planning and card placement, as the order of action execution can be unpredictable. By the end of the game, players will have assembled a tableau of buildings, animals, and scoring symbols, and the player with the most points will be declared the winner.
