Deadlands: Abominable Northwest Brings New Horrors to the Savage Worlds Universe – Now on Kickstarter

Fans of Deadlands: The Weird West have a new adventure to look forward to with Deadlands: Abominable Northwest, the latest release in the Savage Worlds series. This project introduces a new sourcebook, graphic novel, and boxed campaign set, taking players into the eerie and mysterious Pacific Northwest of the Deadlands universe.

The 212-page Abominable Northwest sourcebook offers a detailed exploration of the Pacific Northwest, rich with new monsters, cryptids, and other threats. From the snow-capped mountains of Idaho Territory to the shadowy forests of Washington, players can expect over 40 new foes and 30 Savage Tales, offering plenty of opportunities for adventure. Notable locales and towns from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington are brought to life, along with new relics, lore, and more to deepen the experience.

The Carnage in the Cascades boxed set includes a full Plot Point Campaign written by Deadlands creator Shane Lacy Hensley. This campaign plunges players into a crisis unfolding in Seattle and the surrounding areas, where terrifying creatures and mysterious events threaten to turn the region into a Deadland. The set comes with maps, NPC cards, pawns, props, and a “phobometer” that measures fear.

For those who enjoy the original Deadlands Dime Novels, the Rise of the Black Circle graphic novel offers a new adventure with familiar characters Ronan Lynch, Velvet Van Helter, and “Bad Luck” Betty McGrew. Written by Shane Lacy Hensley, this 96-page hardback tells the story of their pursuit of a witch across Texas, leading to a confrontation with the deadly “Black Circle.” The graphic novel also includes profiles of the characters and stats for use in Deadlands games.

Fans have the option to back different tiers, with rewards ranging from standalone copies of the sourcebook or campaign set to an “All In” bundle that includes both along with the graphic novel. Additional extras like new archetypes, map packs, and a fold-out poster map of the Deadlands Pacific Northwest region are also available.

This Kickstarter campaign has already exceeded its funding goal and will run until October 25, with pledge tiers available for various levels of support.
