Cherry Picked Games has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Gamefound for Far Away: Corporate Espionage, a new expansion to their award-winning two-player cooperative game, Far Away. This expansion adds a fresh set of missions that continue the game’s theme of exploring alien worlds, this time with a focus on corporate espionage. Players take on the role of explorers working for a space government, tasked with subverting megacorporations threatening the galaxy’s frontier worlds. In the expansion, players must compete against corporate rivals with more resources, while using their limited tools to safeguard these vulnerable planets.

In Far Away: Corporate Espionage, the most significant addition is the introduction of nanobots, which serve as a new AI system for controlling creatures, offering an alternative to the ROLEPLAY system from the base game. Players will face a series of new missions, each with a unique spin on the mechanics and a satirical take on the corporate world. From surviving extreme weather conditions while seeking venture capital to suppressing free will in exchange for overtime pay, the game introduces inventive challenges that expand on the original gameplay experience.

The expansion also brings new terrain types, like underground exploration with its own set of hazards and resources. A new game mode focused on sustainability, as well as additional landmarks, artifacts, and in-game objectives.
