Paragon: Monsters & Mayhem Launches on Kickstarter with Exclusive Cards and Alt Art

Paragon: Monsters & Mayhem has launched on Kickstarter, a new TCG where players command monsters, spells, and rituals to dominate a gridded battlefield and eliminate their opponent’s essence to claim victory.

Players take on the role of a Paragon, a powerful character from one of six distinct domains—Life, Death, Order, Chaos, Might, or Aether. Each domain offers its own playstyle, allowing players to customize their decks with cards that fit their Paragon’s strengths and theme. The game is played using three different decks: a main deck for creatures, spells, rituals, and items; an essence deck that provides a tactical advantage based on the order of the cards; and a mana deck, which is used to pay for cards and abilities during the match.

The battlefield in Paragon: Monsters & Mayhem is divided into three zones. The Combat Zone, a 4×4 grid, is where creatures are commanded to attack opposing creatures or strike directly at the opponent’s essence. The Support Zone allows players to place items and rituals that can provide lasting effects and sway the course of the game. Finally, the Paragon Zone is where the player’s Paragon begins the game, using its abilities before joining the fight in the Combat Zone.

Victory is achieved by removing your opponent’s essence. Players deal direct damage by attacking uncontested or using spells, forcing their opponent to reveal essence cards. Once a player runs out of essence, they are knocked out of the game.

The Kickstarter campaign for Paragon: Monsters & Mayhem includes a range of exclusive content, such as alternate art and serialized foil cards. There are 30 days remaining of the campaign, the campaign ends on November 1.
