That pesky time-space continuum. Whoever created it needed to use some better material. It's always getting cracks in it. And you're just the Spackle to fill those cracks. You're a Time Soldier and your job is to head to various conflicts all across time and make sure that certain events take place, completing objectives along the way and interacting with various historical people, in order to make sure that the right side wins. That's the story behind Soldier of Ages, a new RPG that's up on Kickstarter.
Players create their characters based on various theaters of conflict that have happened across the world up until WWII. You pick your class (basically whether you're a spy or a medic or commando and such), and then fill in your skills based on what you want to be good at (as you do in most RPGs). You then add in your Bio-Enhancements. You might be fighting in Ancient Rome, but you're still a futuristic individual, after all. You then head out to battle, being sure to successfully complete each part of your mission in order to restore the timeline. Sort of like Quantum Leap, but you're not going into someone else's body, and there's a lot more blood and guts.
The Kickstarter campaign is up and running now with still 30 days left to go.
