June is Pride Month. And we here at TGN certainly want to make everyone feel welcome into the gaming fold. Dog Might Games feels the same way, and is celebrating with a special raffle for pieces that have rainbow staining. You can buy tickets for your chance to win, with all proceeds going to The Trevor Project charity.
From the announcement (note: all references to "this post" mean the post on Dog Might's Facebook page):
Happy Pride, everyone!!
We are finally ready to unveil a special charity event we really wanted to do this month: our Rainbow Raid Raffle! For $1, you can buy a ticket to enter to win one of three rainbow-stained products from us. You can buy as many tickets as you want. 100% of the proceeds from those ticket sales will be going to The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people ages 13-24.
If you can, *please* share this post so we can get the word out for this cause (and give everybody a chance at some amazing, kick ass, proud rainbow gaming gear!).
In the past, we've made our rainbow stain available very exclusively on the occasional Kickstarter project. It's not an easy stain to accomplish! We thought, though, we should put this special stain to another use - by offering it exclusively during Pride. If you order a product with this stain, a portion of those proceeds will go to The Trevor Project as well.

The work week is coming to an end. I don't know about you, but this week went by faster than last week, despite last week being a short week. I dunno. Time's weird like that. Hey there. We've all made it to Wednesday. Half the week's over. We've just got the other half to go. Granted, with how the wind's howling out there, we might just get blown to the weekend quicker. But while I go tie my car to a tree and watch the neighborhood kids go sailing by, let's nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: Kraken Dice Introduces Ethereal Shaman Dice, Dragon Lords: Grenadier Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, Ironwatch: Tales of the Stars Short Stories Now Available, Really Useful Box - Hobby Box inserts from Sally 4th, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm February Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, INSIDIA: Miniatures from the Wastelands Up On Kickstarter, and New WWII Goblins Available From Warhansa.
After the successful Netflix television series "Stranger Things" set in the 80s, there were many requests from fans and 40-year-old players, who played with the same miniatures that were seen in the film, first of all the beautiful miniature of the Demogorgon and then again, of the Mind Fleyer. I had already cast the Demogorgon miniature there, in a box, probably coming from the same mold from which the miniature of our characters was cast. I have always said; beautiful that miniature!!! One day or another I will have to reprint and put on the market. Then after the film I did not know yet, questions began to arrive if by chance the Demogorgon was not in our molds. I decided then that it was time to re cast it and it was the end of the day !! It's amazing how the success of a single miniature can make the difference in sales for a company. Behind the wake of the Demogorgone and the Dungeon & Dragons game played by the protagonists of the hit series, it seems that an interest in the old miniatures has reignited, say "Vintage" that have an unparalleled charm even compared to the type of sculpture, which pradoxically, for a world of fantasy, however, is closer to the reality of the style of the models sculpted today, with a decidedly more Gothic style.
Our project is therefore to reprint all the old series of the company Grenadier Models, starting from the best known Dragon Lords. The work was and is titanic, because we had to do a detailed research, almost as if we were blibliotecari, looking for all the molds of the masters where these miniatures were found. It goes back to the early days of the glorious Grenadier, when the miniatures were still part of even older series, Wizzard and Warriors, Gamma World, Pinnacle, Andrew Chernack personality, in short a work of archeology of miniature. The work was hard, but we did it. Even the dress of the boxes has been recreated in the style of the old series of Dragon Lords. We are sure that collectors will be a real boon!!

We are Bad Seed and, for the past couple of years, we’ve been developing INSIDIA, a video game of turn-based mayhem. INSIDIA has its roots in our love for board games and wargames, a passion that was a constant inspiration during the whole development process. Buried somewhere in the depths of our studio, it is still possible to find the very first INSIDIA mock-up: a squared sheet of paper crowded with cardboard figures.
During these two years, we created many unique characters and a virtual world for them to fight for. It was an extremely rewarding task and yet, after each day of work, we couldn’t help to say “Wouldn’t it be amazing to have REAL miniatures of our heroes?”
So here we are. After having printed our very first prototypes, a small army of 75mm Gunthers, we are ready to create miniatures of the most iconic champions INSIDIA has to offer.
Thanks to their details and their unique post-apocalyptic-fantasy aura, our miniatures will stand out both on a shelf and in a battlefield!

Fridaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Gateway to the weekend. AND! I placed an order for some new dice yesterday. So you know I'm stoked. When dice sets sell out in a matter of minutes, and you manage to get some, it's a pretty good feeling. Still riding high on that wave today. #NoSuchThingAsTooManyDice Anyway, as I wait for those to come in, I think I'll snack on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: New Starship Bases Available From Tabletop-Art, Really Useful Star Wars X Wing Storage Available From Sally 4th, and Zangrahel by Ignacio Fernández Ríos Available From Industria Mechanica.
We have new Starship bases in our assortment: 25mm, 25mm DEAL, 32mm, 32mm DEAL, 40mm, 40mm DEAL, 55mm 1, 55mm 2 and 120mm Oval. Other sizes will follow :)
Our Trays and Inserts for Really Useful Boxes have been hugely popular since we launched them. We recently had a customer request to put together a storage solution for Fantasy Flights Star Wars X-Wing. This we did and have now made it available as a product in our web store for anyone else who is interested.
The system includes a sturdy 100mm deep tray for storing the model ships. There are two inserts that fit inside this, one holds 8 ships on small bases, one holds 4 ships on small bases and one on a large base. The components for the game are stored in two 35mm deep 10 compartment accessory trays. As a gamer I like this approach, it keeps the models and other components together, is easy to pick up and take along to the club, and means that all the little bits and pieces are easy to find and use. I've put the pieces that are used for pre-game set up in one tray and the tokens and markers used in-game in another tray so that it can be lifted out and placed on the side of the gaming area. To finish it off we added a disk tidy to hold the maneuver disks. All of these components are available so that you can mix and match according to what models you have in your collection, or as a discounted starter bundle.
Disk Tidy £4 RRP Inserts £3 RRP 100mm Deep Tray £10 RRP 35mm deep 10 Compartment Tray £7 RRP
Introducing the first kit from Ignacio Fernández Ríos' "Maschinen: Guardians of the Shelter", the beautiful Zangrahel! This 1/8 scale figure is amazingly sculpted by Barruz Studio and comes with base. Preorder yours today

Board Buddies was born out of a desire to create a free and interactive web app for iOS and Anrdoid that would allow users to host and join in on board gaming events in their community. As avid board game lovers, we always found it a challenge to find local people playing our favorite board games, or that wanted to try new ones that interested us. With the Board Buddies app, you’ll be able to search for upcoming board game events in your city, create your own event with a game of your choosing, or ask to join an ongoing game event and become a regular player in their crew.
Our team can't make this dream a reality without your help. If you love board games as much as we do and want to become a buddy, please pledge your support so we can bring this project to life.

Still working on getting better from this cold. It always seems to take me longer to get back to 100% than it does days that I'm actually feeling sick. So I'm going to chow down on some bite-sized gaming stories.

None of that is exactly true but it does sound plausible.

As part of our expanding line of World War II figures in the Mediterranean theater, Askari Miniatures are pleased to announce the release of German mountain troops, the Gebirgsjäger.
Gebirgsjäger were basically light infantry trained for mountain warfare. They fought principally in infantry assault formations, and it was in this role they excelled.
Gebirgsjäger fought in most major campaigns including Yugoslavia, Greece, Crete, Tunisia and Italy from 1941 to 1945.
Our jaegers are dressed in light kit for combat for summer operations, as the 5th Mountain Division fought in the invasion of Crete in 1941. These figures can also be painted in khaki desert uniforms which they wore in Tunisia and Italy.
The initial release consists of a Rifle Team, MG-34 team, Officers, a full Rifle Squad and the Mountain Guide.

Halfway there. We're halfway to getting back to the weekend. Methinks I'm going to take it easy this weekend. I found out my LGS is going to be absolutely packed with several events running for games I don't really play, so I'll probably just veg at my place. I could use a relaxing couple of days, anyway. Though it does mean I still need to wait to break in my custom Guild Ball mat (more on that tomorrow. Stay tuned). In the meantime, I'm feeling a bit peckish, so how about noshing on some bite-sized gaming stories?
Today on the platter we have: New Options For Really Useful Box Storage System From Sally 4th, Statuesque Starport Able Spacewomen Now Available, New 3mm C-130 Hercules at PicoArmor, New Orc Hand Grenades Available From Kromlech, Impact! Miniatures D3 to D30 Dice Chains on KickStarter now with Cotton Candy dice, 3D Printable Tanks Up On Kickstarter, and Fantasy Stock Art & RPG Minis Up On Kickstarter.
Trays and inserts to convert your Really Useful Boxes into really useful figure and games storage. Trays stack on top of each other inside RUB's to increase storage capacity. Inserts for popular figure bases fit inside trays. We've got a range of trays with cut outs so that you can store whole games like Zombicide, Conan, Mansions of Madness etc. in a single box complete with game boards, rule-books, miniatures, cards and tokens.
These conversion kits take a Really Useful Box to the next level of usefulness! They allow multiple layers of figures or other gaming products such as cards, dice, scenery or tokens to be stored safely and securely, each layer also being easy to lift out. This MDF kit is very easy to assemble and only needs some wood glue. The space inside a tray allows for two inserts to sit snuggly side by side. The idea behind this is that you can have two different inserts per layer.
Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the release of two new figures for the Statuesque Starport range. Today, the Able Spacewomen join their male colleagues in the Starport!

A new Kickstarter campaign launched by 3D Wargaming brings high-quality tank miniatures to your home 3D printer. Just print the kit, assemble the model, and presto—a perfect T-34, Sherman, or Tiger, no smoothing required.
We tend to think that affordable personal 3D printers lack the resolution to produce anything beyond terrain, but 3D Wargaming has managed to design high-quality tank kits that print well even on low-end printers. The secret? A clever technique called Face Optimization, which makes sure only smoothly printed faces are visible in the final model.
“Face optimization: All 3D printers create objects by stacking layers of materials. This means that faces that are printed horizontally and near-vertically will always have a great finish, even when printed at low resolution on a low-end 3D printer. We simply took advantage of this property of 3D printing by designing our Printable Kits so that, once assembled, the only visible faces are the ones that were printed in those two optimal orientations. That's why our models look so good!”
The method has allowed some truly impressive results, as the pictures on their Kickstarter page show. All the models were printed at 100 microns, without any post-processing at all. And if historical tanks aren’t your thing, they’ve also got an impressive collection of articulated sci-fi models.
The Kickstarter has some exciting stretch goals too, including some more exotic models like the E-100, an experimental Nazi supertank, and the Elephant tank-destroyer.
3D Printable Tanks is live on Kickstarter for the next 30 days.
James Shields loves creating custom stock illustrations. He's been doing it for years as a way for independent game designers to bridge the difference between stock illustrations and commissioned artwork.
...but what is custom stock art?
For him, it is a crowdfunded collaborative effort to create artwork from submitted ideas. Every backer gets to submit ideas to be illustrated and they get the benefit of all the additional artwork created.
The result is loads of artwork for the price and reward of a single commissioned illustration.
His latest project will be creating 50 fantasy characters and creatures through Kickstarter. He will alternate between randomly selecting backer submissions and choosing those that really inspire him. That will happen only after illustrating ideas from those who chose the guaranteed backer level.
Every stock illustration created through this project comes with a very generous commercial license. The artwork may be used indefinitely. It may be cropped, flipped, or colored. The signature mark must remain in its original orientation. Products must credit 'Jeshields' for any commercial use.
The only restrictions are the following: May not be used in products sold primarily for artistic value. (Stock art, tokens, posters, etc) May not be used in sexually explicit works, nor those that propagate racist or sexist ideas.
In addition to creating for independent game developers, he will be formatting the artwork into printable miniature templates. These may be used for personal use only, with the exception of business owners who wish to use them to demonstrate games.
If a gamer ever wanted to get their favorite character printed in a published roleplaying product, this would be the perfect opportunity.
This Kickstarter Project will run until midnight on Halloween, but he's releasing additional artwork for earlier support goals. Join early and start making your voice heard.

And here we are again. Friday: threshold to the weekend. I'm sure many of you are gearing up for a weekend of gaming, possibly starting as early as when you get off of work. I'm looking to spend tomorrow at the LGS, hopefully getting in some games of Guild Ball and Bushido. But whatever your gaming vice might be, it's best to top off with some bite-sized gaming stories before diving in.

Out next week and available to pre-order now, the Romanian 75mm Resita Anti-tank Gun M1943.
Due to the lack of anti-tank weaponry and the losses on the Eastern Front, the Romanian Army required a type of weapon to replace these losses and supplement existing equipment that could be built in Romania. A third prototype that combined the best elements of captured Soviet weapons and existing Romanian equipment performed well in tests - better than the German PaK 40 and to the Soviet ZIS 1941 76.2mm - and entered production in December, 1943. Few were manufactured - less than 400 - and the gun first saw operational use in the Spring of 1944.
Three crew included. Base not included. 28mm. Figures sculpted by Alan Marsh. Gun by Oliver Piotrowski.

Really Useful box conversion kits are released this week.
These conversion kits take a Really Useful Box to the next level of usefulness! They allow two layers of figures to be stored safely and securely, each layer also being easy to lift out. This MDF kit is very easy to assemble and only needs some wood glue.
The space inside a conversion kit allows for two inserts to sit snugly side by side on both the top and bottom layer. The idea behind this is that you can have two different inserts per layer. The height of each layer is 70mm. It is designed to fit inside a 9 litre Really Useful Box.
At the moment we have listed an insert for storing figures based on 25mm round bases. Each insert has slots for 36 miniatures, so a converted Really Useful Box with 4 inserts inside it would have slots for 144 miniatures.
We have a lot more inserts designed and are happy to make any of the 40+ storage inserts that are currently available for our Warchest Figure Storage range to fit these boxes. These inserts include round, square, oval, hexagonal slots in every size imaginable together with special inserts to suit X-Wing, Star Trek Attack Wing, Wings of Glory, Sails of Glory and many other games and of course if we have not got an insert available that suits your needs, we are always willing to design one and add it to the range.

WWII was truly a global conflict. While the various European forces were making their way back and forth across that continent, and Rommel and Monty were dueling it out in Africa, the islands of the Pacific saw plenty of fighting as well. Sally 4th is now letting you recreate those battles with their South Pacific supplement for Combat Patrol. It is available now. But it's not just the supplement that's new. There's also a new deck box and some terrain.
This week sees the release of the new Combat Patrol supplement for gaming platoon level engagements set in the Second World War Pacific Theatre of Operations.
Fighting in the South Pacific during World War II was unique compared to other theatres, even other parts of the Pacific. This supplement includes rules that represent the unique nature of Japanese morale, Banzai! charges, suicide anti-tank attacks, night infiltration, vehicle-mounted flame throwers, and other rules. The Banzai! charge rules strike a good balance between effectiveness without overpowering the charge and making the Japanese invincible.
Of these new rules, the most significant are those for Japanese morale. The basic morale rules work very well for other theatres, including China, Burma, and India. In Combat Patrol™ morale failure is represented more as a loss of cohesion than a sudden, unexpected retreat. As units take morale checks, the unit gradually dissolves or stops responding to commands. Japanese morale failure in the South Pacific seems to have been more unit oriented than individual; the unit leader will decide to retreat, take cover, or assault the enemy in response to fire rather than individuals melting into the jungle. The new morale results reflect this.
Japanese Action Deck RRP £6.50
In Combat Patrol™: World War II, cards in an Action Deck are used by players to resolve shooting, determine movement distance, conduct hand-to-hand combat, and check morale. This eliminates the need for charts and tables. Each player has an Action Deck that he uses to resolve these actions. New decks are now available for gamers using a Japanese army. The parts of the cards that deal with small arms fire, melee, HE, movement and cover saves are the same as all of the other Combat Patrol decks, but the Morale section is unique to reflect the rules for Japanese morale. The new cards are optional as existing cards can be used to cross reference the Japanese morale rules in the supplement, but having the specific cards makes morale tests a lot easier.
Sally 4th has released two new accessories for Combat Patrol players this week.
Combat Patrol Card Dispenser £10 RRP – Easy to assemble MDF kit to make a handy and attractive card dispenser in the shape of a bridge to keep your action deck and discards tidy on the gaming table and easy to move around with you to where the action is.
Combat Patrol Card, Token and Dice Storage £15 RRP – Easy to assemble MDF kit styled on the vintage card index, and including drawer with dividers to hold dice and counters and a set of index card dividers. The set includes five dividers, four marked as Action and one as Activation.
As usual the supplement is available as a free to download PDF file, the new cards and the Combat Patrol card dispenser and card and token box are available to purchase from Sally 4th website http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Combat-Patrol and we will have them with us at shows including ‘The Other Partizan’ on Sunday 20th August.

Woo! Saturday! Woo! I've... got nothing, really. I'm about to head over to a friend's place to game. So let's just dive into the reviews, shall we? We shall.
This week, we have: Wordstacker, Wordsy, Dragoon, Founders of Gloomhaven, Quest for the Antidote, Tokaido, Marvel Legendary: Noir, Quiver, Thunderbirds, Beasts of Balance, Stop Thief!, Zoo Ball, Automobiles: Racing Season, Between Two Cities: Capitals, Far Space Foundry, Good Cop Bad Cop, Unlock!, The Cohort, Star Scrapper: Cave In, Century: Spice Road, This War of Mine, Barenpark, Heldentaufe, Kingdomino, Pathfinder Adventures app, and Space Invaders Dice.
theMCGuiRE review takes a look at Dragoon from Lay Waste Games. We also get a look at the new rogue and barbarian expansions made available through kickstarter!
What a great and fantastic looking game - unbelievable! Available in both Gold and plastic editions! So go for the gold and get 50 gold before anyone else for the win in this awesome tactical game.
theMCGuiRE review takes a look at Founders of Gloomhaven, the brand new game from Isaac Childres and I can't wait for people to get their hands on this one. It's a euro at heart but fuels the lore of Gloomhaven as you are founding the original city before what you experience in the campaign of Gloomhaven.
You get a lot here in this game! Worker placement, card management, resource management, strategy, great artwork, and fantastic mechanics! the kickstarter is going on right now! If you are a Gloomhaven fan - you are going to want this title in the Gloomhaven universe! (at least I think so - the theme is rich and lore is definitely there - this is a different game though - so please make note of that.)
theMCGuiRE review takes a look at Quest For The Antidote, a new one from Upper Deck and a very fun family game indeed! In Quest For The Antidote you are questing around a very fun filled map to acuqire the components you need for your antidote. you only have 50 breaths to make it happen, so make every move and action count!
Tokaido is a game in which you gain VP for the experiences you take in on a journey. But you can only do so much and compete with your opponents for the same experiences.
Marvel Noir is the latest expansion for Marvel Legendary the Deckbuilding Game. It features heroes and villains from the Noir Universe and mixes up gameplay a bit.
The Quiver is a card-carrying case you can use to make your card games or small board games portable. You can even use it for carrying other things you want to keep organized and protected.
Thunderbirds the board game was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the TV show. It is a cooperative game where players must rescue victims, stop disasters and thwart the Hood.
The Capitals expansion adds 3 new elements that, according to Stonemaier Games, are designed to all work together, so you should either play with all of them or none. That being said, you could probably mix and match if you wanted to. In addition to the three game play changes, the expansion also comes with some new city tokens.
The specific functional aspects of Far Space Foundry would take a bit too long to explain in this article. In brief, players are space merchants mining asteroids for two different types of ore. Mining occurs in the first half of the game and a rondel/mancala mechanism delivers that ore to a player’s freighters.
In the second half of the game, the ore is used to produce goods which can then be “charged”. Points are scored for maximizing the utility of a player’s ships and the number and kinds of products produced. Points are also deducted for empty space on ships or not upgrading ships.
Players are assigned the team of either being honest or crooked cops by being dealt three secret role cards to each player, with the majority of role cards in hand determining which team a player is on. Two players are also secretly assigned the role of the leader of each of the teams. The goal of the game is for the players to determine who the leader of the rival team is and eliminate them from the game.
Each game of Unlock! comes with a deck of cards and a smaller “tutorial deck”. The teaching deck is identical in all versions of the game.
Players begin the game with a single card deputizing the room they are in and a deck of cards (we sorted our deck by number before the game to make it easier to find cards). During the game, players will need to solve puzzles to gain access to new cards, leading them further down the rabbit hole.
The starting player and every player following has three phases to their turn. They first take two cards from the shuffled deck, look at both of them, and give one to a player of their choice and keep the other.
The second phase is optional and allows players to take a card from their hand and place it face-up on the table to start or add to a Cohort. Once a player has played the required number of unit cards to complete the Cohort, the set is placed face down and the player no longer suffers the effect of that unit type. They also choose a player to discard all the cards from their hand. In the last phase, the player discards down to the maximum hand size of 4 if necessary.
I have come to the realisation that the hallmark of a great game is one when you look at your options, mull over your choices and then let out a cry of exasperation. It is that moment when you realise that to pull off that game winning moving you really should have started your plan in motion three turns ago, or that you are simply one action or one resource short of pulling off a complete blinder.
I say this because my time with Star Scrapper: Cave In has been embarrassingly short, to the point where I feel slightly dishonest in using the word review in the title, (not too I guilty mind you as an article titled first impressions never gets the traction it deserves) but I will say within my brief time with Star Scrapper Cave In there have been multiple cries of anguish, so surely it is a truly great game.
I’ll just come out and say it. Century Spice Road from Plan B Games is a surprise for me. And a very pleasant one at that. Steve talked about it in one of our recent podcasts and he liked it. So much so that before he’d finished banging on about it, I’d one-clicked it during the recording and waited to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out that our resident Welshman may have had a point.
Anyone alive in the 90s who owned an Amiga will almost certainly have remembered the Sensible Software game “Cannon Fodder”. If you don’t remember the game, look it up. I’ll wait.
I mention Cannon Fodder because it came with the tagline: “War has never been so much fun”. And it was right – Cannon Fodder was awesome and still stands as one of my favourite games of all time. Making those little men dance across the screen as you shot their twitching corpses was highly entertaining, if a little morbid.
Cannon Fodder, however, is a complete polar opposite to the subject of this review – with the tagline “In war, not everyone is a soldier”. Also beginning life as a video game, This War of Mine is a rather brutal and harrowing depiction of the early 90’s Siege of Sarajevo from the point of view of a group of civilians trying to eke out an existence in a city that’s seen more shells than Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It’s fair to say that absolutely nothing depicted in This War of Mine could be described as “fun”.
The correct term to describe Bärenpark is a polyominoes positioning game (or Tetris shapes as I prefer to call them). Each turn you will attempt to place one of the odd shaped pieces, made of either public amenities or one of the various bear enclosures, into your park. The name of the game is efficiency, as you race to fill your park as quickly as possible but also maximise its scoring.
The day that you have been waiting for has come. At last, you can prove that you are worthy of being a member of the Hero‘s council. Show them your skills by collecting the golden monster teeth. But be aware – the lands of Taora are not as peaceful as they seem. Rumor has it, that in the dark and gloomy Netherworld, some friends become enemies…
Now get up and hurry! The Heldentaufe already started. Be the first who returns the teeth of glory.
As the name implies, Kingdomino is a twist on the classic tile-laying game, dominoes. This game takes it up a notch by adding pretty art, castles, a twist on the turn order rules, and different scoring. The goal remains the same, however: Score the most points.
Each player has king meeples (the number depends on the number of players), a castle, and a starting tile. The castle is placed on top of the starting tile at the beginning of the game and placed in front of yourself. This is the humble beginning of your kingdom.
Once upon a time, we reviewed the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, a legacy-style card game/RPG mashup that let you build your character in the form of a deck and some limited stats over a series of adventures. Now, Pathfinder Adventures is a digital version of PACG available on all platforms – including Steam – and part of Asmodee Digital’s prolific board game app library.
The game’s premise is just like the original: aliens are attacking the Earth and it’s up to you to blast them all to smithereens. Each player takes a score sheet that looks just like the video game, with space invaders neatly laid out in a 11×6 grid and each row of invaders worth different point values. At the top of the sheet are the hard-to-hit UFOs worth the most points.
We have made it to the weekend. Well, almost, anyway. Just gotta finish up today and we'll get there. It'll be fine. But to make sure we can get to the cool stuff of the weekend, we should stock up on

We brought out the first wave of our resculpted EuroFed spaceships in time for Salute, but this only replaced a small part of the existing fleet. Today we have a pair of capital ships, new versions of the Liberté battleship and Cerbere light carrier. These two have changed in design more than some of the other new models, being based on a similar hull that has the same design styling as the Milano and Umberto. At the other end of the scale we also have the diminutive Comète starfighter, tiny but with an amazing amount of detail for something so small.
The release also includes a fleet pack containing a Liberté and a Cerbere along with escorts, fighters and bases.
SFS-400 – Liberté class Battleship – £6.00 SFS-411 – Cerbere class Light Carrier – £6.00 SFS-460 – Comète class Interceptor (pack of 12) – £1.50
We are very pleased to release our latest 15mm Sci fi miniatures, the Federal Army Experimental Battalion (ExBat). These are very high tech forces experimentally deployed at battalion level, very advanced grav vehicles and infantry "drone" (actually robotic) infantry. Limited numbers of super-elite special forces termed "Treaty Troops" also operate with the ExBats. There's a complete background write-up for these forces on the web page as well.

Following up several successful crowd-funding campaigns on Indiegogo, TMS has put together a Kickstarter with some extremely innovative designs for the Vampire Covenant for the 9th Age wargaming project. But I'm sure you'll agree that the designs will look stunning in your undead army no matter what game you play.

Backers that support the Essentials Case campaign will have the option of selecting a clear lidded box, choosing artwork provided by local Colorado artists or submitting their own design requests for custom engraving.
The art provided for the Kickstarter comes from Stan Yan, Zak Hennessey, Steven Pulawa, and Janet Macklin. These premiere engravings add a very unique look to the Essentials Case.
MacWolf Productions LLC is a partnership between two veteran geeks: Abel Gutierrez and Steve Moore. The two started MacWolf Productions after learning the ins and outs of laser cutting at the TinkerMill, a local makerspace in Longmont, Colorado. MWP started out focused specifically on making laser cut clocks from a variety of fandoms and has slowly evolved into a variety of different products, including gaming gear.
This Kickstarter marks the jumping off point for Abel and Steve as they make the transition into gaming gear and begin providing their own unique style of design to the tabletop market.

Counterblast, by Bombshell Minis, looks to recapture the retro-feeling of 50s and 60s sci-fi. One aspect of that era that they've not yet tapped into is the bits of memorabilia that goes along with it. Well, they're looking to rectify that with their Lunchbox Edition of Counterblast. More than just a cool carrying case, it's a starter set that'll get you and an opponent gaming in no time.
Here is a sneak peek at the Counterblast Lunchbox Edition which will include two starter factions and all the accessories for your initial games. Pics of the new sculpts and other components will be posted in the coming weeks. These 2-player starter sets, as well as individual components, will be available for pre-order starting May 25th.

Friday! Woo! *runs around with arms over my head* Yeah, I'm excited for the weekend. Some of the toy soldiers I ordered a couple weeks ago finally came in at the LGS (yes, it's Guild Ball stuff) and so I'm planning on being there bright and early at 10am when they open to get 'em. I hope you've got somewhat similar plans. But if we're going to be at the gaming shop good and early, we need to munch on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Cy-Co Western Cyberpunk Board Game Coming to Kickstarter, Bagthulhu Dice Bag Up On Kickstarter, New Releases Available From Hitech Miniatures, 40mm Imperial Palace bases Available From Dark Art Miniatures, Ogroid-fighter by Brother Vinni Now Available, RN Esutido's Kickstarter Drahontyr the Mountain King unlocked, and Norsaga: Odds and Endings Coming To Kickstarter
For the realization of its first board game "Cy-Co" the startup game publishing company Villain Games will start a crowdfunding campaign on kickstarter on 15th of May 2017. Backers have the chance to be immortalized in this board game!
About the game: Cy-Co is a western cyberpunk strategy game for 2 to 4 players. It combines classical western elements with the cyberpunk style of the 80s - and leads to an unprecedented showdown between the Cyber-Cop Cy-Co and the archaic criminal bot Crime Evil. With their actions the characters move across the field, load their weapons, fire at each other, and jump through the walls of the three-dimensional buildings of the game.
One night, a few years ago, a cuddly little abomination wormed his way into my brain and refused to be quiet until I gave him a body and a name.
After a sleepless night, a lot of experimenting, and several blood sacrifices to the sewing machine (it bites), I took the first Bagthulhu to my local game store. Some one snapped him up within three hours.
Since then he's been one of my most popular designs, spreading madness and mayhem wherever he goes.
Now he wants to take over the world. I'm... surprisingly ok with that.
So we need your help. To raise the funds for Bagthulhu to be produced on a larger scale, lowering the individual price and bringing the madness to more tasty humans than ever before. Until then, Bagthulhu waits dreaming...

Hey all, my name is Charalambos Kourouklaris, an artist and also the creator of the TATTOOink card deck
Being an artist and a card game player, I was inspired to create something different and unique, combining my passion for painting with ink and my love for skeletons and card games. Nearly a year ago, I started a creative journey that gave birth to a unique concept,''the TATTOOink Card Deck''. I’ve done the original paintings, by using only tattoo ink on paper, a method I found truly fascinating and special. Who said that tattoo ink is to be used exclusively on skin? After countless hours of work, I’m ready to present to you the final result of my project.

The 15mm Xarledi has a resin hull and turret with metal guns and details. It's accompanied by two new packs of support weapons - railgun teams and automatic mortars.
The 6mm Xarledi is joined by a pack of Yenpalo infantry which are available for the first time in 6mm. They've been expertly scaled down by Martin Baker who sculpted the original 15mm versions. There is also a Yenpalo Combat Group pack with six tanks and 36 figures.

We've made it, everyone. It's Friday (be sure to get your free item from Kroger). With any luck, your weekend will be filled with all things gaming. I'm... gonna take it a bit easy. It's pollen season here in GA, and while I'm not particularly allergic to any of it, it's like getting a face-full of dust or chalk. You cough, you sneeze, your eyes water just because of the amount of particulate in the air. So it's best to just stay inside and fill up on bite-size gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Figure Storage Inserts for Vehicles Available From Sally 4th, Rise to Nobility launches on Kickstarter on April 5th, Go Fish Fitness Kickstarter - Final Week, Bits of War 3rd Anniversary Sale, Purgatory edges closer to completion with new arrivals of models, and April 1st Deals from Advanced Deployment.
Over the years ‘Warchests’ together with clear bases have been some of our most popular items. As we have received requests from customers we have developed more and more inserts, so that we now have a range that covers pretty much any figure base size that you could imagine. However, since we became show stockists for Sloppy Jalopy we have been searching for a good solution for safely storing and transporting model vehicles.
This week, we have added a Warchest Insert for Vehicles to the range. This is made from 3mm Medite and consists of two rails which are glued to the side of a Warchest and a set of four movable dividers that can be slotted into the rails. This insert will fit our 70mm, 100mm and 120mm high Warchests and can of course be combined with a clear front panel and clear lid if required.
Rise to Nobility is a dice worker placement game for 2-5 players. The strategic game play and unique mechanics are accompanied by thematic engine building. The game's beautiful art conveys the magical atmosphere of the city of Caveborn and will immerse you in the splendor of The Five Realms.
Go Fish Fitness is in its final week on Kickstarter and has nearly reached its funding goal. The campaign ends on April 6th, and there are a few discounted rewards still available to be claimed! Go Fish Fitness will be printed in English and French, backers may choose how many of each they with to receive if they choose more than 1 deck.
Go Fish Fitness is a beautifully illustrated card game for kids that incorporates physical activity to help break those winter blues! We hope you will join us by supporting this project and help us with our vision of bringing more fun and exercise to kids everywhere. Keeping fit is about incorporating exercise into everyday life in ways both big and small. In the age of electronic entertainment, Go Fish Fitness is one small way to help keep kids active and healthy!
Hi, all that I will write below is not a joke :) Really ;) Three years ago Kromlech opened its online store bitsofwar.com At 1st of April, yes I know sounds like a joke but it is not, it is very real as you can see. Before that time our products were available at ebay or by some FLGS but as a number of our products increased and it is good to have your own place to rule :) ... a shop was created. I hope that you enjoy our products as we are enjoying a chance to create and produce them for you. We are business run by hobbyists for hobbyists. Kromlech is not a big company, a team consists of 10 people on site and some artists that we work with remotely but from the beggining we aim to deliver the best quality in all that we do. A product, a cusotmer service, a client service, you named it :) Once in a while there always some problem will pop out but we are here to help you with any problem you may have with our service. During last three years we have managed to release so many products that it is hard to count and guess what? we have many more to come :)
Now let's cut to the chase :) From now* till the end of Sunday we celebrate our 3rd Anniversary of Bits of War. In that time ALL our products are 15% cheaper !

*drags myself to the next post, clawing at the ground as I go* This has been some week. New office. Bunch of visitors the the office. And with GAMA next week, I've had several late nights working on (redacted). But, yesterday I got to watch the preview video for (redacted). So that was cool. But yeah, I'll be very happy when that show happens and all the announcements are made. With all that going on, stocking up on some bite-size gaming stories is simply a necessity. So let's get to it.
Today on the platter we have: Khurasan releases modern alien invasion range, March Updates from Advanced Deployment: Dice Towers and Freebies, Ultra Clear XCase: Expandable Transportable Display Case On Kickstarter, The Children of the Sands Sci-Fi Minis On Kickstarter, New Storm Cannon Platform Available From Kromlech, Wreck Age Vehicles Kickstarter Launching March 17th, Brigade Models - New 15mm Neo-Soviet SF Tanks, and Two More Weapons Platforms Released by Kromlech.
We are very pleased to release our latest line of 15mm Sci Fi models, the modern alien invasion range. Available are the Science Caste, the War Caste, the war robots of the War Caste, and the colossal four legged alien war machine, the city-killing Maneuver Element. We believe that, with the possible exception of a model Ratte released in 15mm scale, and of course some terrain pieces. the Maneuver Element is the largest 15mm model released for tabletop play as a unit. Compare it to the T-62 shown underneath it! It can be purchased with a variety of leg poses.
A full background for the range is provided, and the intention is that the range can be used against modern combat models, but of course you can use them for whatever you fancy. Available now.
New goodies in the Advanced Deployment store! We've got dice towers, which can be customized, more MKIII tokens, and wider measurement sticks.
But the thing we're most excited about? Freebies!
As we are a print on demand store, we have very little room for back-stock. Yet, every time we make new product we must have a physical copy of it on hand. That's why we're pleased to announce free addons! For every order over $25 you can go to this album and put your order number in the comment section and we'll add that to your order free of charge!
This is just our way of saying thank you for your order, and helping get rid of some back stock!
Active Minds Games, the Creator of the Mage Cage and XCase expandable, transportable, display case for Miniatures and small collectibles has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to produce a brand new Ultra Clear variant which takes the display feature of the XCase to new heights.

It's just over a week until our Vehicles Kickstarter launches and we are getting really excited! We would love it if you could spread the word among your friends and gaming groups so we can grow our community even more with your help.
We have also released revised quick start rules in our web store, which is of course, free
This week we're releasing two new 15mm Neo-Soviet tank models, and reintroducing some figures to accompany them. The Vombat and Bars are used by Neo-Soviet Guards armoured divisions instead of the smaller Bizon used by regular units.
The Vombat is an Urban Combat vehicle with infantry carrying capabilities. It’s heavy armour allows it to go deeper into a hostile urban environment than a light-skinned APC could, carrying its cargo of four infantry.
The Bars on the other hand is a pure main battle tank, losing the infantry compartment in favour of larger fuel tanks for increased range and a heavier ammunition load.
This also seemed an ideal time to bring back the former ArmiesArmy Neo-Soviet guards figures. Guard units wear flexible splinter-resistant composite fabric face masks with integrated breather units to keep out dust, pollutants and chemical/biological agents. Some formations, especially when facing irregular insurgent forces, wear red masks to increase the intimidation factor.
