Tuesday of a rather abbreviated week for me. Thursday's Thanksgiving and Friday is Thanksgiving Recovery Day. That means it's just today and tomorrow before epic weekendness. Yesterday already went by quickly. So, let's see if we can keep that ball rolling through today. Some gaming podcasts should help.
Today on the dial we have: Geeks of the North Episode 89: Making hobby wishlists; Morrus' Unofficial Tabletop RPG Talk Episode 75: Making Star Wars, Starfinder, Pathfinder, D&D, and More with Owen K.C. Stephens; Tabletop Talk Asami Episode 49: (Ten Thunders) Deep Dive with Alyx Drake and Greg Piskosz; The Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 74: Infinity Defiance, Inuit the Snow Folk and Nanty Narking; Meeples & Miniatures Episode 280: Chat with Gav Thorpe; Rolling Dice & Taking Names Episode 186: Stronghold Undead with special guest, Ignacy Trzewiczek; and The Secret Cabal Episode 195: Batman Gotham City Chronicles and a Short Topic Extravaganza.
This week, we briefly chat about the partial results from the game showcase poll, and then have a longer talk about hobby Christmas listing, or how to get your significant other/families to buy you minis. We also talk about the Scott Pilgrim Miniatures the World kickstarter by Renegade Game Studios, and the Uncharted Realms of the Abyss kickstarter by Antimatter Games.
So sit back, relax, grab a paintbrush and enjoy the show!
This week, Morrus and Peter are joined by the prolific game designer Owen K.C. Stephens to talk about the gaming industry and the many products he’s worked on including Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Star Wars, and many more. In the news, another D&D charity product, Eberron: Rising from the Last War released, huge Humble Bundle for Pathfinder, and more! Plus Our Favorite Game in All the World and a brand new sketch!
Join Craig as his guests, Alyx Drake and Greg Piskosz, reveals how to get the most from Asami and the Oni crew. What models make up the core crew? What models does she bring in for certain pools? What strategies does this crew excel in? How can someone beat them? Opponents will want to pay attention or she will drag out a win against you with her reaching tendrils.
In the latest episode of Polyhedron Collider we ask all the important questions;
is Andy’s car waterproof,
is Inuit any good,
how do you stop quarterbacking in cooperative games, and
should Jon back Infinity Defiance?

We are joined once again by Ignacy. You would think he would have gotten wise after all these years, but nope, he keeps coming back. This time, he talks to us about a game we have been waiting on for years – Stronghold Undead. It is no exaggeration, we have been waiting for years. Good news, the game is funded, so our wait is almost over. It will still be 2020 before we see it. This is also a very short KS and will be over 11/25/2019, so don’t delay if you are interested in backing it.
Ignacy gives advice on how to not loose so badly in Pret-a-Porter to help us in our next game. He then spoils a new faction for Empires of the North where it is about giving stuff to other players only to reap the benefits for yourself. Ignacy states this is going to be a tough but challenging faction to play and we are looking forward to it.
Thank you for listening and in the next episode, we hear about Marty’s adventurers at BGG Con
