<whoop! whoop! whoop!> The giant robot alert is going off because of Savage Company. It's a new dieselpunk miniatures game that's up on Kickstarter now. But more than just a minis game, the campaign also brings you setting books that are compatible with D&D and Pathfinder. So, if you want to play these just on their own as a wargame, you can. But if you want to add them to your RPG campaign, you can do that too.
From the campaign:
A follow-up to last year's best selling Savage Company Campaign Setting, Machines of War greatly expands on the content available and introduces a new standalone, rules-light tabletop wargame that is fully scalable and provides quick and easy transitions to normal Pathfinder and 5e gameplay, making it a great addition to incorporate large-scale or mass combat into your games.
Machines of War focuses on “War Machines'' giant walking tank vehicles and the fast paced combat and total destruction that comes with them! This includes multiple size categories of War Machines, 15 initial war machine models, and additional supplementary units like infantry squads, tanks, and other vehicles. In addition to having simple, easy to learn rules, we also encourage model proxies, kit-bashing, and customization.
The models are designed to fit standard 30 mm hexagonal bases, and the game can be played on a hex grid or open terrain. The War Machine models come in three sizes, ranging from 28 to 60 millimetres tall, and are based on a 1/285 or 6 mm scale. All of the models are modular and designed to accept multiple types of weapons and accessories so you can configure them however you want.
The campaign's close to 2x funded with 35 days to go.
And yes, I did send it to my DM going, "So... my Articifer would be interested in this." ;)
