The chest is the most common and fundamental item of medieval furniture. Chests served simultaneously as both furniture and luggage, as the nobles in the Middle Ages traveled from manor to manor, chests and strongboxes would protect all their possessions, including items of clothing, weapons and armour, tableware, books, jewelry and all other valuables. At home these would be used to store the same items safely. Basically every single item of value would have had its own chest or strongbox for storage and transport. Wealthy nobles could own hundreds upon hundreds of chests, as it's documented by many wills and death-rolls.

Get me a jury and show me now to say, "In July" and I'll... make cheese for you.
Yes, it's July. That means that literally half the year is over. Time goes by so quick, doesn't it? I don't know about you, but since the Solstice, I've been listening to my October playlists (mostly October Rust) because I would like Summer to go by nice and quick so we can get to my favorite season.
What does that have to do with gaming? Well, I'm typing about it and now I'm going to type about terrain. So... that?

Weekend Eve. We've made it. And a day faster than usual, since we started this week on Tuesday (or, at least, many of us here in the US did). Tomorrow will be filled with Dungeons & Doggies... which reminds me, I should finish writing up that character. He's a Great Pyr, but he thinks he's actually a long-tailed, pygmy polar bear... because it's my character and I can decide to do that kind of stuff if I want. Anyway, before I dine on dog snacks, let's have some bite-sized gaming snacks.

This set of two 28 mm miniatures depicts beautyful semi-naked egyptian girls fighting.
28 mm. Resin casting.
Welcome to the Amazons of See Kickstarter!
The purpose of this project is to introduce you to the Amazons of See, through sets of multipart metal miniatures and raise funding for further planned units in Kickstarters to come.
Moulding and mould testing has already been completed for all the miniatures advertised below and casting time has been booked. Rewards will ship 2 weeks after the Kickstarter ends so expect to receive your miniatures in June 2019!
The 'Amazons of See' are a war-like race comprised seemingly solely of women. Encountered within the endless swathes of the Great Jungle, it is said they guard their ancient metal and stone dwellings with fanatical secrecy. Rare encounters with the Amazons are nearly always hostile. At the heart of their civilisation is their Goddess, 'The Eternal See'. See is a giant being with seemingly magical powers that can bend nature and the elements to her will. Through her high priestesses, her power can be manifest in battle with devastating effect.
Dancing Yak Miniatures is proud to be bringing you a full Infernal Chaos Dwarf and Hobgoblin army in both 10mm and 28mm.
If funded, it will offer a huge variety of units to fill all the needs one may have from tabletop RPGs to the myriad of wargames that have some form of evil dwarfs. Models have been tailored to fit the 9th Age rule system for which we are a supporting company.
Everything is sculpted digitally with some minor adjustments by hand and all prototypes will be 3D printed with a high resolution resin printer. Production is then made by our own hands, spincasting in high quality metal, so we can ensure the highest level of detail.
We are making the models in 28mm heroic scale and 10mm. From the bottom of feet in 28mm hobgoblins are around 28-35 mm tall and dwarfs 25-35 (some of the hats are big). For 10mm, models are scaled to the standard so they work with other 10mm fantasy makers out. Hobgoblins are 12-15mm and dwarfs are all around 15mm, plus or minus. Hobgoblins are much taller than dwarfs. Dwarfs are fatter and have much larger hats.
Set containsOne model of Green Baron fighter with three heads options (16 parts)DescriptionModel designed to fit 32mm tabletop wargames scale as a fighter. Model have slots for 3x1mm magnets. Supplied unassembled and unpainted.

And that means making your gaming tables look good.

“The XVB02 ‘Vertibird’ is a VTOL ("Vertical Take Off and Landing") craft with an extremely durable armoured fuselage and can be armed with a variety of offensive weapons and defensive countermeasures. This is the most advanced aircraft of its kind ever developed, and the military hopes to press them into service by 2085.” - Museum of Technology Washington.
The Brotherhood of Steel make good use of the Vertibird, using it to fly in troops and supplies to advanced positions and to reinforce flashpoints mid battle. Unfortunately, the advanced firepower of the factions that fight to control the wasteland sometimes find a weakness in these aircraft, leading a to a number of scattered wrecks dotting the landscape.
Scavengers might find ammo and weapons in the burning wreckage, or even a suit of Power Armour, just make sure its previous owner isn’t still in it before attempting salvage.
This boxed set contains nine resin components, allowing players to build five separate pieces of scatter scenery to expand their Fallout: Wasteland Warfare games. The set is available for retailers to order direct from Modiphius. Contact email@example.com for more info.

Now that we've shown off all the figures in the standard Ruins of Lastwall set of prepainted plastic miniatures over the past few weeks, that leaves just the premium set for today's blog. Over the history of the line, we've switched between extra-large figures like dragons and giants and hydras and themed dungeon dressing like the Rusty Dragon Inn and the Court of the Crimson Throne. For Ruins of Lastwall, we suggested a cemetery set to WizKids, who at first seemed hesitant to do it (we later learned that they were doing a similar set in their Icons of the Realms product line). When they heard the pieces we wanted to include, however, they got really excited. The end result is one of the most impressive sets of dungeon dressing I think I've ever seen.
The set includes 6x different cereal bags, suitable for the scale: 28-35mm. The sacks have a very detailed surface, seams are visible and sometimes the sacks are damaged or patched. A great extension for almost every game board.
Code: 15CHP This 15mm ancient Chinese square pavilion is based on several surviving examples, depictions and models. It is designed to be used as a baggage element for any Chinese army and to fit on a standard 40x40mm DBM size baggage base. Traditionally Chinese pavilions are small covered structure with little or no walls, that were initially erected at roadside in the Warring States era more than 2,200 years ago as shelters for soldiers. After China was reunited under the Qin, a unified postal system was established, and roadside pavilions were used for the government postmen on horseback as relay stations. They also provided travelers with a place to take a rest in long journey and a shelter during the rain. Like all other models in this range it is made of tough POLYURETHANE; It comes in a easy to assemble kit: the base and the roof size are approximately 36mm square, the roof itself is 20mm high without the separate top cap. The columns max height is 35mm but can be easily trimmed down at will.
Halfway there, everyone. We've made it halfway through the week. Congratulations! I hope you've got some gaming planned for this weekend. I've got some plans to hang out with friends, but beyond the vague "hang out," we've not really figured things out. I do have some minis I've been wanting to assemble, so we might have a build party. We'll see. Anyway, as it's Wednesday, that means we need to snack upon some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Skirmisher Publishing Releases Viking Warrior Cardstock Characters, New Pirate Ship Bases Available From Tabletop-Art, PicoArmor Releases 3mm Seven Years' War Miniatures, Fantasy Miniatures For RPGs and Wargames Up On Kickstarter, and Baueda Releases New Norman Crossbowmen.
This set of downloadable Cardstock CharactersTM miniatures contains 10 different figures in c. 28mm scale, including a chieftain (jarl), four warrior retainers (thegns), a rune mage (galdrmadr), and four common warriors (carls). This set also includes a horizontally-flopped version of the entire group to allow for additional variety, allowing a full 20 figures to be printed out on a single sheet, as well as assembly instructions.
These beautiful miniatures by noted fantasy artist Amanda Kahl are the ideal addition to any sort of tabletop fantasy RPG or wargame and can be used to enhance encounters or even serve as the basis for them. They have been developed with an eye for historical accuracy under the direction of game developer and Ragnarok: Age of Wolves author Clint Staples and are equipped with authentic Viking weapons, armor, and clothing.
We have new Pirate Ship round bases in the shop: 25mm, 25mm DEAL, 32mm, 32mm DEAL, 40mm, 40mm DEAL, 50mm 1, 50mm 2, 60mm 1. On the ship deck are hatches, torn flags, ropes, boxes, weapons, etc. The baseset is ideal for all sea dogs and pirates.
PicoArmor (Oddzial Osmy’s exclusive North American distributor), is please to announce the release of a line of 3mm Seven Years’ War miniatures. These include tricorne infantry and infantry command packs, tricorne cavalry and cavalry command packs, hussars and hussar command packs, grenadiers, and artillery.
I sculpted a small series of metal miniatures inspired by the classic ones of the 90s that I collected and painted. These miniatures will fit perfectly with skirmish wargames like Mordheim, Frostgrave or Dragon Rampant but they can be cool PC or NPC for your pen&paper roleplaying games. The path this project will take is like the exploration of a dungeon: as our three unlikely heroes (a Halfling, a Fairy and a Ogre bodyguard) delve deeper, they will face menacing creatures like the Gargoyles or treacherous cultists and enchanters, but they may also find unexpected allies... Moreover Randolf the Ogre (see below) could find bits of armor, and weapons of his size. Project is already financed and we're close to the first stretch goal.
Baueda Releases New Norman Crossbowmen (pting! pting!)
Do not run away now! When we have conquered, then you can flee! 15mm Norman Light and Heavy Crossbowmen (Supplied with separate crossbows) Known since ancient times but fallen in disuse in Europe after the end of the Roman Empire, by the end of the first millennium the crossbow was growing back in popularity. Two of our figures have almost no armour (one has an helmet) and are more suitable for skirmishing roles or second line troops, while the other two both wear heavy armour (one padded and one chainmail) and represent first rank line troops. All use early crossbows models suitable for up to the 12th Century. There is one bow modeled without the stirrup which is for the figure spanning the weapon (the stirrup is molded on his foot). The slightly larger and longer bow is for the figure with the padded armour (the others won't fit on him).
We're getting closer to the end of the year. It's practically here. Lots of celebrations will be going on, and with them will come plenty of snacks to eat. In this instance, we're getting you some bite-sized gaming stories.

I propose you to get one ( or several ) resin copies at the most common gaming scale, 33mm from feet to bottom of the head.

I know that I just got back into the regular swing of things again, but I'm already ready to just take a couple days off. My weekend will be spent gaming, but of the video variety. Hey, I'm allowed. But while I crunch those 1s and 0s, I'll be needing to snack, and having some bite-sized gaming stories in my tummy will be awesome.
Today on the platter we have: The Mighty Exo-Armoured Dwarves 28mm scale miniatures up On Kickstarter, Lizard City Bases Now Available From Tabletop-Art, Ophidian Menace Fantasy Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, Baueda Releases New 15mm Forest Bases, Riders of the Storm Fantasy Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, and Kraken Dice Releasing Kelpie Dice This Evening.
Hello and welcome to our 4th kickstarter, where we hope with your support and backing to be able to fund the expenses involved in producing the 10 "Mighty Exo Armoured Dwarves" shown in the video. Bob Olley hand sculpted the masters for these miniatures, giving them the unique Olley character that he is famous for. We are hoping with your support to cover the costs of sculpting, moulds, castings, and Kickstarter fees. We hope that you like them and that you decide to back our project. With no money for advertising we are grateful for all your shares of this project. Thanks Bob & Jackie
We have new Lizard City Bases in our assortment: 32mm, 80mm 1, 80mm 2, 120mm Oval 1, 120mm Oval 2, 130mm 1 and 170mm Oval 1. Lizard City 120mm 2 Oval base The floor of theLizard City set is equipped with motifs of the Incas and Aztecs, as well as exotic small animals. Therefore it is ideal for lizardmen and jungle peoples, their conquerors and armies of similar themes.
Barbaric Splendor Kickstarter Two: Ophidian Menace offers serpentman warriors for your wargame, skirmish game, RPG, or simply to paint and collect. These miniatures are not new - they are already sculpted and molds are already made. They were sculpted by Nicolas Genovese of Blood Moon Miniatures, who has made a special offer to Barbaric Splendor Miniatures. This Kickstarter will, if successful, fund this purchase and casting of the required amount of miniatures. I am offering the miniatures at a reduced price from their planned retail price to help facilitate this process. This will be a short Kickstarter, with the only goal to add these miniatures to the Barbaric Splendor line. If need be, I do have a stretch goal planned, but do not wish to make this a complicated project so it will not grow beyond that.
These will be the start of an extensive line of serpentmen - both the serpentmen, who have human bodies and legs with snake heads (much like those in the fiction of Robert E Howard) and the primeval serpentmen who have snake bodies and human torsos with snake heads.
You asked for them, now the new Forest Theme Scenic Bases (designed to be compatible with FoW / Team Yankee standard basing) are available! Can be mixed with the small Rural Theme bases for observers, snipers, characters, etc... #FoW #TeamYankee
This Kickstarter project is the first step into an adventure which will take form later in 2019 as a unique board game where players will be able to create their own story and battle it out amongst friends. As always we have sort your invaluable help, a call to our friends and backers, to see the potential behind this wonderful story and help us put together this project. Although we will not be discussing elements of the board game in this campaign directly, the idea is to achieve enough funding to produce a block buster board game next year. This campaign features both 3D Printable files of our models and quality resin cast physical miniatures. As we know that many of you do not own 3D printers, now our backers can have the best of both worlds. The campaign is huge by standards and as such we have split it up into categories. We offer Dragons, Heroes, Regiments and Terrain.
Many a fisherman and farmer have been to eager to help as they watched the magnificent Kelpie struggle to escape the tide. In their haste they have fallen prey to the Kelpie and it's treachery as they are taken to the depths, never to be seen again. Beware helpful soul for the Kelpie is not the gentle creature you assume. Violent and beautiful she will usher in your final rest.
Just about back to normal, everyone. Well, at least, as "normal" as we get around here. One thing that's nice is that the weekend is almost here. And weekends mean gaming. And gaming often means terrain. So, let's get your terrain game upped with some awesome stuff.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Battle Ball Field : A Fantasy Football Arena Up On Kickstarter, Iron Age Farmstead 28mm Miniature Wargaming Terrain Up On Kickstarter, The 2019 Battlefront Premium Terrain Pre-Order is now open, Rampart: Magnetized Modular Terrain for Tabletop Games Up On Kickstarter, War Sands Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, New Hay Bales Set Available From Tabletop-Art, Heroic Maps - Storeys: The Church of St Pixtus the Martyr Now Available, and Dark Star Station Rubber Battle Mat Available from Loke BattleMats.
The pitch itself is modeled with a "Graniturf™" surface...a pattern edged right into the wood, making it ideal to paint while still holding a more 3 dimension surface than most other available game boards.
Our goal is to produce a variety of game-ready scenery and terrain pieces in quality polyresin for our backers to enhance their wargaming experience. We aim to create multiple lines of both affordable historical and fantasy 28 mm wargaming pieces that come with the option of being already painted! This means all you need to do upon receiving our product is open the package and throw the pieces down on the table! Of course we know many hobbyists love to paint their own terrain so we're giving everyone the option of selecting unpainted versions of our miniatures as well! These raw resin versions are being offered at a slightly reduced price.
Every army needs a great looking table to fight over and the Battlefield in a Box range is a fantastic way to quickly and easily put together a great looking battlefield.
To take your table to the next level and have some really interesting and unique looking buildings we created our Premium Terrain range, as well as bringing some old favourites back. These include a mix unique buildings and terrain designed specifically for this range, as well as some new paint schemes of existing buildings so not every factory or café needs to look the same. Just like previous Pre-order Deals there will also be some free stuff as well!
The Pre-order will run from the 9th of November until we have hit our production cap, or the 3rd of December (whichever comes first). Once the pre-order has closed our production team will gather the numbers and start the casting and painting process (remember that all of these buildings are pre-painted!). In order to ensure that we can produce all the buildings and have them shipped out to you in March 2019 we need to keep the production run limited so once the pre-order goes up don’t delay or you may miss out.
We are happy to announce Rampart - Modular Terrain System that's made with magnets in mind. Using this technology setting up your wargaming table takes few minutes. Every time creating different layout. Check out our Kickstarter Page, see Rampart in action!

This small church, named after a famous saint, has been used for worship by generations of villagers. The graveyard is full of their ancestors, with the more noble members of the community buried in the crypt. The living fill the pews, worshipping in the simple but pleasant church.
A printable battlemap compatible with any RPG/Dungeon-Crawl game. Use as a standalone gameboard, or combine with any same-scale tileset.
Contents: A set of 20 x 30 maps depicting a traditional NW European church. The nave of the church has a pulpit, pews and font, with the chancel and apse housing a small altar. An additional nave has been built to the side, and this is home to a small chapel. A bell tower is accessed by stairs, and a ladder leads to the roof of the tower. A set of stairs lead below the church to the crypt.
We do not recommend flying casual on Loke BattleMats Dark Star Station Rubber tabletop gaming mat. The Resistance you will face on this mission is unparalleled as your flying skills are the only thing standing between you and the Dark Side of this killer star. You will need to use the force as you manoeuvre across this Empire of hazards towards what looks suspiciously like an exhaust port. Success seems far, far away as the outcome hangs in the balance. You’re the only hope……… Loke BattleMats are proud to bring you the infamous trench run brought to life on a high quality 2mm rubber backed neoprene gaming mat with a stitched edge available in 6 foot by 3 foot.
Wednesday. It's spelled wrong.
Anyway, that aside, it means the week's half over. I, for one, look forward to our weekend coming as soon as possible. I've got some gaming I'll be doing, so you know that makes me happy (my bard, named Lead, will be overthrowing a town. Fun! :D )
But before I incite revolution, I need to stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Brigade Models Releases New 6mm Hammer's Slammers Vehicles
After any number of minor but irritating delays (mostly around getting the turrets to cast successfully), we are finally able to add 6mm versions of our recent Hammer’s Slammers releases to the website. There are a lot of them – from the Falchion light tank and Fauchard APC, all the way up to the massive 10-wheeled Centurion C4H6 Hog.
The Falchion and Fauchard tracked vehicles are used by several mercenary units and come in a number of variants, tank, artillery, APC and mortar carrier. They’re accompanied by the larger Kraus tank which is used by the Lightning Division.
The Apex Dragoons are primary users of our new series of wheeled vehicles, the Catapult, Odyssey and much larger Broadsword, although the latter also serves in a number of mercenary and national army units. All are available with a variety of turrets.
Most widely used are the Centurion family of Very Large Transport Vehicles. Based on a set of common components which can be assembled in various configurations, they range from the C400 4-wheeler up to the enormous HGV-sized C4H6 articulated artillery hog mounting a 20cm rocket howitzer.
Most of the vehicles have multiple turret options which can be selected from the website.

Sally 4th Running Classic Movie Miniatures -Episode 2 Kickstarter
We love Pulp Miniature gaming, we love classic movies. We thought it would be a great idea to have a range of miniatures for gaming inspired by the iconic images of classic movies, brought to your table top in glorious crisply cast pewter. Last year we ran our first Classic Movie Miniatures Kick-starter and developed three packs of miniatures inspired by one of my favorite classic movies, Casablanca together with miniatures inspired by The Maltese Falcon and Tales of the Gold Monkey.
