Wrath of the Sea Lich by Gaxx Worx Now Live on Kickstarter

A new Shadowdark RPG adventure, Wrath of the Sea Lich, has been launched by Gaxx Worx, offering players an epic journey through Luke Gygax’s World of Okkorim. This adventure is a reimagining of the popular Oculus of Senrahbah series, originally created for 5e, but now re-engineered and remastered for the Shadowdark system with the help of designer Sersa Victory.

In Wrath of the Sea Lich, players venture beneath the city of Chentoufi to recover the Eye of Chentoufi, an ancient and powerful artifact. What begins as a simple treasure hunt quickly escalates when it’s revealed that the artifact is also sought by the ancient Ydrissid lich, Ireshkigal, who has been dormant in her watery fortress for thousands of years. As players explore submerged ruins and confront forgotten remnants of the past, they must decide whether to use the power of the Oculus or destroy it to prevent Ireshkigal’s return and the potential devastation she could bring.

The campaign has been adapted to fit the Old School aesthetic of Shadowdark RPG, with rebalanced encounters and a focus on the perilous nature of the World of Okkorim. Shadowdark RPG, a system designed to blend classic dungeon crawling with modern mechanics, emphasizes exploration, tactical combat, and a dark, immersive atmosphere.

For those interested in backing Wrath of the Sea Lich, the Kickstarter campaign has already surpassed its initial goal, raising over $22,000 from 272 backers. The campaign runs until October 24.
